3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BigBang (299) - Indiana, USA - APR 2, 2009I was hoping for better here. Nice aroma but flavor doesn’t live up. I guess I’m used to a little more kick in an IPA. I’m a big Founders fan but I probably won’t reach for this one over a Celebration, Two Hearted,Moylans, or Torpedo.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Maklean (39) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 25, 2013
Pine and grapefruit on the nosenice aroma but lighter than expected. Well balanced hops to bitterness.

Pours a clear copper with a medium white head and some lacing. Aroma is malt and floral hops. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus fruit, and grassy, floral hops with an adequately bitter finish. Medium body with medium carbonation and very well-balanced. A very well done IPA overall.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Metalchopz (1753) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 24, 2013
6-pack from the LCBO. Pours a clean (slightly hazy at last pour), deep amber colour with a frothy off-white head that stands its ground with decent lacing. The nose is quite sweet, malty (almost nutty) with some hops (but not your typical grapefruit and pine). The hoppiness stands a bit more out in the taste, with just a nice touch of bitterness and dryness. Fruity, burnt malts, toffee and citrus. Not a hopbomb, but a nice warming IPA.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopbomber (100) - Manchester, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2013
Lovely aroma of citrus orange and fruit, mouthfeel is rather watery with a nice pine hit, less resinous than many of similar abv, flavours of caramel pine oranges and grapefruit. Very good ipa.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 MikeKeller (567) - Kemi Rock City, FINLAND - MAY 24, 2013
355 ml bottle @ Olutravintola Kukko, Kemi. Beautiful orange/red beer with white head. Aroma has sweet malts and fruity hops. Flavour is sweetish with good maltiness and very nice bitterness. Full bodied IPA.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AshtonMcCobb (1459) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 24, 2013
355ml bottle. Pours light amber with a nicely proportioned head and gentle bubbles. The nose has a green note but also a bit like gorse. It’s creamy with a very enduring citrus finish. The taste has something resembling a liquid form of lemon drizzle cake but not so sweet. Like flowers and honey. Some sort of Turkish sweet. The palate is medium bodied with a tangy texture and a very long and enduring finish. Delicious and complex.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 WeissGary (174) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAY 23, 2013
Bottle. This is a really lovely IPA from the Founders batch I was lucky enough to get my hands on in Scotland! It’s really fruity and quite refreshing! Sweet and fruity on the nose, quite smooth but a lovely little spice accompanies a sweet hop on the tongue, with a dry malty hop finish. So nice, very easy going, the sweet taste completely masks the high percentage; a very lovely IPA and another fantastic Founders beer!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 wilderthanyou (669) - Guelph, CANADA - MAY 21, 2013
Pours a manuka honey colour with a short lived head. The aroma is citrus, and sweet caramel malts. The flavour is citrus up front which quickly fades to a nice caramel, and medical herb (think ricola) sweetness, ends back on a bit of candied orange and grapefruit in the finish. Good solid session beer.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bunget (319) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 19, 2013
355ml bottle. Clear amber body, small beige head with good retention. Aroma of a classic IPA: grapefruit, caramel, floral hops, spices, honey. Taste is moderately aggressive: bitter hops, caramel, herbs, spices, pine. A little oily and sticky.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 travita (3056) - Frisco, Texas, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Bottle. The look is bright, very clear, ok off white head, and copper in color. The smell is floral, grass, fruit, sweet, hops, caramel, and well balanced. The taste is hops, good bitterness level, fruit, caramel, and grass.
