ketchepillar (252), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Jun 4, 2008 Very malty sweet. Floral and clover-like. Citrus hops that are slightly rough in character, but nice. Mouthfeel is smooth with light, yet prickly carbonation. A lot of pretty tasty hop flavor coming from the dry hopping I presume.
bretupdegraff (59), Fishers, Indiana, USA Sep 4, 2008 Very nice IPA w/ strong aroma.flavor is floral, spicy, citrusy, and of course hippy. Very enjoyable BitterPoet (54), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Sep 3, 2008 Cannot believe this IPA is not in the top 5. The combination of dry hopping AND leaving it unflitered has forged the PERFECT..and I again I say to this day PERFECT IPA for me.
The dry hopping here produces a nice "gumball" mouthfeel, while the unfiltered floaters root it diametrically to the earth. Wish I didn’t have to trek to Hudson, WI to get it. But I do...and will.
Try it for yourself. I know raters here tend to rate higher the higher the ABV. Just remember this is an IPA not a Double IPA. pepperford (89), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA Sep 2, 2008 A darker brown/amber than the typical ipa. Lots of citrus and perfume on the nose. A fuller mouth feel than many examples. The malts give a sweetness that keeps the hops in check. Not a monster, a sturdy, smart example. very nice kelsmj (8), , Indiana, USA does not count Sep 1, 2008 Not a very bitter IPA. Great after taste. Medium head. Not very hazy. Great drinking IPA. Not too overpowering. undsioux7 (488), Cologne, Minnesota, USA Aug 31, 2008 Pours dark amber/copper with a big white head. Great citris/flowery aroma hops. Taste hits you with the citris hops first, but a nice grainy malt backbone softens the hops. Medium bitterness. Nice.
