COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2010 Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours a orange color with a beatiful creamy white head which leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is very floral and a bit perfume like with notes of pine, resin, grass and caramel. Flavour of grapefruit, citrus, pine, flowers, grass caramel and berries. Mediumbodied. Carbonation is lively with lots of small bubbles. I like this one, even though I’ve heard it’s not super fresh.

Bottle at O’Learys, Copenhagen airport. Pours amber, cloudy with little head. Aroma of bread, citrus. Tastes quite sweet, little bitterness. First non-lager beer I had after one week in Greece - happy!

I agree with the comments that this is a Smooth ipa. And if a smooth ipa is what you are looking for, this is your beer. Nice aroma, pours a nice dark orange color, but the malt presence is a bit too heavy for my tastes. I prefer my beer lighter on the malt and more bitter. And hop forward . This IPA is not bitter. Nothing wrong with this ipa, just A matter of taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange copper bodied with medium head. Dark hops, pine, spruce, resin, biscuit malts. Great bitterness, but a bit of alcohol too. (33cl bottle from Beer City)

Det ska mycket till för att misslyckas med den här typen av IPA. I USA går det 13 på dussinet. Och samma sak gäller för det här betyget, så förutsägbart är det.

Bottle at rake borough mkt. blood orange coloured. Clean tasting. Not overly hopped. Very pleasant without being exciting. Good percentage.

Bottle- Lovely pour and colour in the glass and crystal clear. Aroma is sweet malt some pine and citrus not big. Thick full on the tongue and nicely balanced for the IBUs doesn’t appear overly bitter. Tasta, malty some happiness. Overall I suspect (no date on bottle) this has suffered on the shelf and lost its full hop aspects, but still a good beer.

Old rating. Just an excellent down the middle IPA. Hazy orange. Citrus and floral hops with a mid-level malty base. Crisp, delicious.

Tap at Belmont Station for CBC A: Light amber, thin white head, not much lacing. N: Pineapple, grapefruit, toffee, orange peel, earth, peppercorn, some bubblegum, and grass. T: Sweet and malty with a backing bitterness. M: Medium body, no alcohol presence, resins, creamy carbonation. O: A solid IPA from Founders with a solid balance of citrus and earthy characteristics. I prefer RPM, but this is a nice showing.

Pours a hazy, darker amber color, topped with lots of cream colored creamy head with decent retention. Malty aroma, caramel and biscuity, some resin perhaps. In the back some fruity notes. Taste is sweet and fruity, slightly spicy in the finish with moderate bitterness. Lasting herbal aftertaste.
