Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a Sierra Nevada Celebration pint glass. The color is a hazy Orange with yellowish highlights. There is a finger and a half of foamy white head and some nice lacing left on the glass. The smell is earthy hops with a spicy pine aroma on the edges. There is a slight dankness here in the nose. The taste has a nice sweetness at first with a citrus flavor that is mixed with tangerine and a slight hint of cherry. the bitterness comes out toward the back of this beer and pushed forward till there is bitterness building as it finishes. The feel of this beer is lighter then most IPAs and is pretty drinkable. This beer is quite refreshing and a pleasure going down.

Can from SB. Nose is pine, grapefruit, wild strawberries, tiny bit of citrus. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with an off-white one finger head. Aroma is more malty than expected, dark bread and hops. A tiny bit of sweetness, harsh bittnerness. The alcohol comes through a little bit too much for my taste. An ok IPA, but there are better alternatives. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Amber in color with a nice white head and minimal lacing. The aroma was floral and light pine. It was very hoppy in the flavor but not overly bitter.

Puts Amber hazy, off white greenish foam. Medium retention foam loose. Nose - melon, citrus, pine, Apple and bread / Toffee and a very faint hint of mint. Taste is dominated by the same freshness couples with bready malty notes. Finish is relatively dry but with some fruity esters. Profoundly bitterness but not to dominating.

Pours a dark amber with a small frothy head. Aroma of fruits, herbs, some sweetness, citrus fruits again, alcohol in the background. Taste is sweet, slightly salty, with hints of alcohol again. Medium to full malt body, plays nicely with the hops. Carbonation is nice and sparkling, but not too fizzy. Very nice. Complex, yet easily drinkable. Very malty.
