COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a Sierra Nevada Celebration pint glass. The color is a hazy Orange with yellowish highlights. There is a finger and a half of foamy white head and some nice lacing left on the glass. The smell is earthy hops with a spicy pine aroma on the edges. There is a slight dankness here in the nose. The taste has a nice sweetness at first with a citrus flavor that is mixed with tangerine and a slight hint of cherry. the bitterness comes out toward the back of this beer and pushed forward till there is bitterness building as it finishes. The feel of this beer is lighter then most IPAs and is pretty drinkable. This beer is quite refreshing and a pleasure going down.

12oz can. Pours amber with an average-sized head. Aroma is floral with a bit of citrus. Very hoppy bitter flavor with strong citrus notes. Long bitter finish. This is very good.

First time drinking a Founders beer because Founders beers are not available in Maryland. Delicious! Bottled on 10/29/2014. A solid IPA.

canned. thanks to mowbeer for arranging delivery to pilsen. clear amber with a steady head; plenty of zesty citrus and pine in the aroma; good whack of bitterness. no big surprises but that’s not such a bad thing in this case

Dark gold and capped with a lacy white foam, the brew is giving off a monster aroma of hops; dank and heady. The first sip is a medium-bodied, rich, deep pine resin; it travels the sides of my tongue with a jaw-popping bitter and wrapping underneath to create a mouth-watering experience. I wish more IPAs were dry-hopped, because the flavor is so much more true to the actual plant. This is bitter, but buoyed with malt; balanced enough to take the bitter to an enjoyable spot, but without taking away the nature of the hops. Liking it a lot. I believe it could be a bit fresher, and am starting to believe that it’s true that two months should be the limit on any IPA, but four months out is not taking away the beauty of this beer. The palate is dry, the finish short and the lacing on the glass is visually appealing and consistent on the glass. If Founders was in the area, this may be a favorite go-to for me!

Boks fra systembolaget. Klar ravfarget med lavt hvitt skum. Fersken og ananas med et hint av røde bær i duften. Mye sitrusbitterhet med noen florale toner. litt oljete munnfølelse.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/29/2014. Pours slightly hazy orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/floral hops and light-moderate malt balance; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, pineapple, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity and balance of juicy citrus/floral hops and light-moderate malt balance; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an incredible IPA. All around outstanding complexity and balance of juicy citrus/floral hops and light-moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

35,5cl can from Systembolate, Strömstad. Pours slightly hazy amber with a lasting off-white head. Quite intensive hoppy aroma with pine, citrus, tropical fruits, caramel and hints grass and herbs. Fairly sweet with nice hoppy and fruity flavours and a somewhat dry, and quite bitter finish with citrusy notes. Bitter aftertaste with notes of grapefruit. Medium to full body with carbonation slightly on the soft side. Not the freshest IPA, but certainly a decent one anyway. Would love to try it fresh some day.

Very solid IPA, with characteristic centennial hops (at least that’s what is says on the etiquette). Kind of sweetish notes that develop, but a bit more hoppy bitterness wouldn’t have hurt. A slight muddy hop taste.
