COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.

An amber beer with low carbonation in the body. The head is white and frothy with a slight pink hue. The aroma meets me with light notes of fresh cherry, some sweet citrus, caramel, and light spice. The flavor is much more cherry forward with sweet cherry notes that never border on puckering. A nice doughy citrus follows, while the finish is sweet tart cherry. The palate sports fine bubbled effervescence with a surprisingly dry finish. Perhaps the best summer beer I’ve ever had.

6/27/10. Given to me by Ohmybock at the Tallahassee tasting. The aroma is lighter than anticipated, cherry in there and some sort of spicy dark maltiness. The flavor is sweet and fruity cherries with a hint of tartness and some spices going on. Like a light beery cherry pie.

This taste almost like a cherry soft drink---Nehi Cherry. Pleasant drinking and good for either a hot summer afternoon or a cold winter sipping ale.

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent red brown colored body. The mild aroma was bubblegum. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of softly acidic fruits. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

25-JUN-2010, bottle @home, from Ølbutikken. Very light in color with a red tone and a nice white head. Nose is somewhat unpleasant. Off course sour cherries, but also an unclean note. I have no clue about the beer underneath the fine but faint tasting cherries. A very light un-bitter pale ale? <<overall dissappointing.

Draft. Hazy pink pour with a medium, pinkish head. Simple cherry aroma. Flavor is sweet and tart with a lot of cherry, some sweet malt, and breadiness. Light body and medium carbonation. A treat to be sure.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2010 Draft. Enjoyed this as the St. Paul Beer Fest. Poured a slightly hazy pink color with a matching pinkish hued head. The smell is tart cherry right of the bat along with some other sweet fruit notes. The taste is very refreshing, especially on a hot day in the sun. Tart cherries that slightly pucker your mouth are at the forefront. Light/medium mouthfeel. Overall, I was really surprised by this beer as I have never tried it before. Very smooth and drinkable for 6.5%.
