3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 vikingguy (456) - Chaska, Minnesota, USA - JAN 2, 2010
Pours a vivid pinkish-red with pink head. Dry cherry aroma. Strong cherry flavor but not overpowering. Sweet but balanced out nicely with some tartness. Not a lot of body, but flavor is really good; doesn’t taste artificial. A relatively dry finish. Listed at 6.5%, but this is very deceptive; tastes more like 3.5%. I imagine this could kick you in the @ss pretty quickly. Very good session ale.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Maria (7805) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 2, 2010
It’s reddish with a slightly pink, creamy head. The aroma has notes of cherries and almonds. The flavor is sweet with notes of cherries and almonds, but IMO it’s a bit thin/watery, I would have liked more body. Otherwise it’s OK and refreshing.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Radek Kliber (5171) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - DEC 29, 2009
Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: slight haze on cloudy ruby with copper accents. Pinkish mid light top. Nose: Strange organic earthy nose , hint of aged dry wood with fruity finish. Is this effect of cherry pits that were used in this ale? 5+ Flavor/Palate : mid bodied , frontal character of cinnamon spice with mil cherry sugar coat laceing. Subtle and lighter fruit brew. Bonus : nicely rounded and end. Spiced cherry pie anyone?
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 MPA (710) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - DEC 27, 2009
Bottle. Slight hazy reddish with off white head that has a little pink glow to it. Aroma of cherries, gum, perfume, alcohol and a little burned rubber. Flavour is slightly sour though sweet with cherries and has an earthy bitterness to it. Not quite my thing, but still not a total catastrophe as it has some interesting notes in flavour that just lacks power in it’s expression.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - DEC 24, 2009
I’m still not sure how I feel about this beer, even after the whole bottle. There were times I felt like it was on to something, but then other times it just seemed to drift off into nothing and just seemed one-dimensional. Received in a trade via daknole (thanks!) and the beer pours out reddish-pink color like the color of water after cleaning your brush using the red water-paint. Aroma was dusty cherries. Flavor was dusty cherries with a very light twang/acidicness to it. Not bad for a single bottle, but if these came in 6 packs....ugh...
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SuIIy (1828) - Natick, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 24, 2009
Bottle. Pours a reddish hued color with a small white head that receedes to a filmy island with a small white ring. Nose is cherrys with a light biscuit malt note. Palate is syrupy and filmy, medium bodied. Flavor is cherry up front but finishes strong with a nice biscuity malt note and a stale malt and sticky swallow.

Bottle. Light sweet cherry aroma - subtle. Red-amber color with minimal head. Sweet-tart cherry malt flavor - nice dry finish. Very nice.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 GT2 (3440) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 19, 2009
355mL thanks to Santa!!! Pours a translucent, beautiful pink with a one-finger, white, dense head that has very good retention. Leaves excellent lacework. Aroma is cherry juicy juice, artificial cherry candies. Fairly muted though. Taste is actually fairly tart cherries. Nothing like a kriek lambic but certainly this is not a sweet, contrived fruit beer. After the initial blast of cherries, this becomes a medum-bodied, creamy session ale.
