COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.

0.355l bottle @ Schoukjelleren, Oslo shared with ClubGonzo. This is a clouded deep copper-orange beer with a small big bubbly off-whiter head. The aroma is kinda sourish, has tones of red-currants and gooseberries. Not extreme in any way, but not bad either. Soft carbonation with a light sticky mouthfeel. Flavors are really dominated by berries. The red kind to be extremely accurate. Thin cherries lingering in a dryish and slightly sweet and woody finish. Light drinkable, not to sour or sweet and quite OK.

Aromàticament espectacular. Cervesa fina i elegant. Potser li falta un xic de carbònic i un punt més d’acidesa per criticar alguna cosa. Molt bona.

Cloudy deep orange beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: dough, yoghurt, cherries, my grandma’s kitchen cupboards (that’s not gonna help you much, is it?). MF: good carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very fruity, sweet start, continues to tartness, raspberries, cherry candy (the soft cherry shaped wine gums with cherry flavour), bit of mint. Aftertaste: cherry candy, tart lemony touches, some green bananas. Not a Belgian kriek by far, therefor they use the wrong kind of cherries, but very interesting sour and surprisingly well balanced.

Bottle from Appalachian vintner. Pours a ruddy brown with a half an inch of foam. Subtle hints of cherry on the nose. Nice rich cherry flavor on the tongue without it being cloying with just a hint of sourness on the finish. Theres a smooth slightly silky quality about the mouthfeel. Very nice!

A light red colored ale with a really nice tart cherry flavor. This is a good sour for beginners.

Great combination of malt and cherry flavor. Slightly sweet without being cloying. Cherry finish is clear but there is plenty of "beer" here too.

A: The beer pours a hazy reddish orange color with a thin white head. S: Smells like cherry pie, which is pretty much what I expected. There’s a light tartness of cherries to it as well. There really isn’t any depth to it in terms of malt aroma, but definitely lots of cherry. T: Things aren’t much different on the palate. Sweet cherries combined with a light tartness of cherries to it as well. Again, really no malt or bread flavor. Maybe a hint of spice. M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation. O: Sort of like the New Glarus fruit beers in the sense that it’s sweet and overly fruity, but it’s got a nice flavor.
