3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark orange red with a foamy oat colored head. Aromas of light cherries, hay, slight and grass. Flavors of wow, real cherries, real cherry sugars, and hay/grassy. Slightly tart, medium sweet, quick finish, almost no aftertaste. Liked how nothing tasted artificial like only real cherrys were used! How a fruit beer should be, by using real ingredients!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a deep red with a nice little white head. Aroma was very light with cherries. Not too much going on but have to say I am getting this in a bar after sitting for about 10 months. Taste is very simple with mild cherry flavor again. I guess a nice sessional fruit beer.

Bottle to tulip. Beautiful redish brown color with minimal head. Light body and cherry flavor. Odd fact - the only beer my mom likes. Too bad they arenít making it this year.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fruity but not like a lambic. Very pretty red color. Taste has a bit of a bite from carbonation, but a fruity beer needs that in my opinion.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle in NYC sept 2012. Hazy red beer with a minimal pink head. Aroma reminds med of sweet cherry wine. Lots of cherry flavour. A quite nice fruite beer, not to sweet.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours an amazing red with with some frothy red tinted head. The aroma is absurdly enticing with lots of cherry, a bit of citrus tones, and a bit of sweet caramel. The taste doesnít disappoint with a great balance of sweetness and tartness that makes for a very balanced beer. The palate is lively with carbonation and finishes with a dry astringent bite that doesnít pucker. Iím a sucker for cherries but this is one damm fine beer. January isnt quite the month for it but Iím definitely happy that I got this one

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a deep translucent ruby color with a creamy pink head that looks like the top of a strawberry milkshake. Love the look. Head does not last. Aroma is tart, sour cherries, raspberry, grass, some very gentle bread and yeast notes. Taste is sweet, tart and very crisp; berries, sour cherries, jam and a very subtle finish of bitter fruit skins (grapes/cherries). High carbonation isnít bad; however, the intense sweet and tart characteristics combined with the high carbonation and incredibly well hidden alcohol leave this feeling like a sour cherry soda or a very mild sparkling cherry wine. This isnít necessarily a bad thing. Overall, I enjoyed it but I would have a difficult time drinking several of these in a session.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear golden amber color with minimal head on it. There is a weak scent of wheat and some cherry, but nothing too bold or fruity. The taste is a very nice mixture of wheat, malts, and sweet cherries that are again not too bold or sweet. This is one of those cherry beers that has a good cherry flavor but doesnít go overkill on the fruit flavor. A must try for fruit beer lovers!

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
35,5 cl bottle @ OíHaraís Freehouse. Rated on 17.04.2010
Aroma is somewhat sweet with lots of cherries and some fruit sugar. Flavour is rather strong on cherry juice, also some leathery notes, fruit sugar and slight tartness. Not my thing, luckily I shared this bottle was with Pat and olio...

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Date is smudged, but appears to be 05/10/2012. 12 oz bottle into a Founders 15th anny glass.
A - Pours a hazy dark red body that almost borders on purple. Looks like a fruit soda. A small messy cap of light tan foam dissipated quickly. Thin lacing with moderate lacing and retention.
S - Strong cherries. Yaaaa...I donít know. That is it really. Its tart and smells natural, but that is all there is to the aroma.
T - Tart cherries with a sweet and syrupy finish. Again, very natural tasting. It does capture some of that spiciness that a real cherry has, almost cinnamon like but very subtle.
M - Medium bodied, almost syrup like but a moderate level of carbonation cuts through.
O - I wonít miss this beer. Its a step up over the faux-fruit lambics, but at the end of the day its just a solid cherry ladened beverage. Bring on the Rubaeus!
