COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.

On tap at the Dash-In Cafe. Deep orange/pink in color. Very pleasant carbonated bite. Sweet to begin with but finishes more tart and that tartness lingered. Not too sweet for a fruit beer; very good balance between sweet and sour cherry flavors. Quite tasty! This is one to have again. (Pairs just fine with pickles.)

Tan/orangy color, thin head, faint orange taste, with strong notes of tart cherries. Not overbearing, somewhat refreshing on a hot day, and the tartness is a bit intriguing on the palate.Mouthfeel is smooth, aroma is weak. It’s not bad, but it’s nothing I would look for again, especially at $12 for a 4 pack at the local store.

poured from 12oz bottle - Not too bad. Highlights of cherry, orange, tangerine and some subdued sweetness. Finishes dry, almost like a dry white wine. Enjoyable, but nothing to rave about. Doubtful repurchase.

Bottle pours translucent amber with thin tan head. Aroma of citrus and breaded malts. Flavor dominated by tart cherries and lemon with a surprisingly dry finish. Another great summer ale from Founders.

12oz bottle. One of my new favorite cherry beers during the hot weather months. Despite a heavier cherry flavor mid palate and a lighter watery entry, this one is a great cherry beer. Smooth cherry across the palate and finishes crisp. The aromas are great, a bit pricy, but worth the extra buck.

Hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, heavy cherry and marzipan. Flavor is very sweet and light acidic. Sweet and light acidic finish. Watery. 050711

Pours a clear red color with an orange tint. Has a white head with a pink tint to it. Smells of cherry, malts and some earthiness. Taste is similar, starts out fairly sweet but quickly becomes tart as the cherries set it. Finishes tart and the earthiness sets in here. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with good carbonation. Overall a decent brew; not a favorite style but something I’m starting to get into more. For the style - it is a good brew.

12oz bottle. Clear pink-orange color, minimal head. Tangy, sweet flavor. Perfect amount of carbonation. Decent aftertaste. Tastes more strawberry than cherry to me, but a solid fruit beer. M: "Citrus-sour."
