COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Youíll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.

Crushed with Jakebra. Nose of cherry cough syrup and some poop. Flavor is tart cherries, but is very thin bodied. Pretty pleasant fruit beer. Not incredible like itís NG cousin, but not bad at all. If I ever ate, Iíd drink this afterwards happily.

I picked this up at Binnyís beverage Depot in Orland Park, IL: It pours an off-ish pink body with a fizzy head. The aroma is bready malt smothered in cherry pie filling. The flavor is pretty much the same although the (too) heavy carbonation covers it up a bit. The finish is fresh cherries. Amazingly this beer never gets too sweet.

From Bottle. Dís 6 packs and dogs @ Pgh, PA. Poured hazy light reddish color. Head is fluffy and alive. Light reddish, almost pinkish in color. Aroma of malts, and cherry. I can smell cherry pie! Flavor is all cherry up front, with malts in the middle and ends with a nice slight bitterness. This beer was very alive with carbonation. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Itís just like eating cherry pie after thanksgiving dinner.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a hazed pink body and no head, but a slight, white ring. Aroma of sweet cherries and wheat with a touch of cherry syrup. Taste is slightly bitter cherry pie filling. Not bad. Light carbonation and dryish mouthfeel.

Hazy, and taking on more of an orange sheen than yesterday. Very thin head. Aroma - Slightly funky, unlike the previous bottle, some barnyard, animal. Otherwise a more or less shy aroma. Mild funk comes through very subtly in the flavor as well, almost like a toned down Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus or some such. Even more enjoyable.

Pours a stunning pomegranate red, with a light pink head. rose petal aroma, cherry. Incredibly delicate cherry flavor, light tartness, just the slightest shade of bitterness in the finish before disappearing. Quite refreshing. Light cereals grain bill. I canít remember the last time I had a light fruity and tart quaffer like this. Overall, this is very tasty but still a few steps away from being truly delicious. Iíd agree with most of cheapdarkís comments. Try not to breathe while drinking this for best effect.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2009 Bottle, bottled on date 04/01/09. A pretty light Mars red color body with a thin soapy head that fades rather quickly, leaving some spotty lacing, lots of soft carbonation. Aroma is of ripe cherries and a wheaty malt, and a very subtle funk type yeast note. Flavor is slightly sweet up front with a bit of carbonation wash and then a some nice wheat flavors, followed by the tart cherries, leaving a nice sweet cherry Jolly Rancher type flavor on your lips, cherry in the finish ,not super complex but has layers of flavors that fit togeather nicely. Fruit Beer is not my favorite style, especially if too tart, but this stuff is very good, very drinkable

A decent fruit beer. Aroma was so so. Cherries and funk with some mildew. Pour was a nice nice stagnant red with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was very fruity and cherry. At first itís like red cherry but the aftertaste is like you just drank dark cherry juice. As it warms the the dark cherry comes out more and it becomes much sweeter and flavorful. Nice battle of sweet and sour going on. Could use some more carbonation and a stronger aroma, but all in all delicious.
