3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. This incarnation of Founders Cherry Ale pours bright red with a medium off-white to pink head. Spicy cherry nose. The body is almost all tart, sweet cherry with crisp carbonation and hints of pale malts and light grassy hops. Simple and refreshing.

From a short stubby 12 oz bottle with a screw cap. Looks somewhat like framboise lambic, without the haze. Very slight aroma of yeast and fruit, not sure if thats cherry or not. Ooh, first taste is impressively tart and fun, much better than I expected for a fruit beer. This stuff was an extra buck, but now I ím glad i didnít pass it by. Next sip is quite delicious, I like this stuff! I want to say it is somewhat similar to a sour beer or ffruity lambic but there is this regular ale flavor that is hiding back inside someplace. Very easy to drink without negative ale attitudes. Good, good overall beer drinken experience! Lovely founders. I think I found a founder, heheh, I finally found foundational - lots. This is may be the shizzle. Becareful, this brew gives no hint it is a 6.5%!!

Kinda like a Mikes Hard lemonade I guess. Rather medicinal aroma.Pours a pretty red color with a pink head. Flavors are of tart and slightly sour cherries. Rather crisp mouthfeel. Pretty much what I expected.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft, at Caponeís (Norristown, PA). Pours slightly hazy pink, with a small pinkish white head. Closely resembles a wine cooler. Aroma is mainly wheat, with some tart cherry highlights. Flavor begins with wheat, which is soon joined by tart, slightly medicinal, cherry syrup flavor. Finishes a bit tart; flavor is reminiscent of cherry pie filling. Body is a bit thin. Interesting.

Bottle : The aroma smells like a pale lager with some moderate cherry notes. It pours a transparent reddish-orange with a small pinkish head. The flavor starts with some sweet cherry flavors. The finish is more sour cherry with a hint of grassiness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The cherry sweetness wears on me a little after several sips.

2.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at Caponeís: No aroma at all. Poured red/pink with a hint of amber in color and a creamy, dense, slightly pink head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet with a hint of tartness. Tastes of wheat, cherries, and water. Medium body. Chalky texture. Average carbonation. Wheat finish.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle: Aroma is tart cherries and a wheat like aroma as well. Appearance s pinkish amber color with a thick off white slightly pink head that lingers around for a while. Taste is tart cherries, sweet but not too sweet, and a really nice sourness to it overall. Palate has a slightly lingering tart cherry taste in the aftertaste. Itís quite carbonated and tart on the tongue. Overall, I like it. It;s not a sugary mess but tastes like cherries and is nice and tart. Cheers!

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Aroma of light cherry, with a somewhat metallic odor. The first sip starts a bit tart, then a big syrupy sweetness hits you. It goes down too thick and sweet for me. Good carbonation. Overall, too sickeningly sweet for me. I love Founders beer, but this one disappointed.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Single purchased at Roziís in Lakewood. Pour is a very, well, colorful one. It looks like wine, or fruit punch...with bubbles. Its the off-reddish hue with a thin white head. Flavor is not so bad considering the aroma doesnít do anything to impress. Flavor is crisp from the cherries, a little tart, then closed with a little maltiness. Not the best fruit beer from Founders, but could be a whole lot worse.
