COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.

Big glass from Valhalla. Poured an ambery and reddish tinge. Aroma of cherries and some malts as well, same taste which was syrupy.

12 oz glass at Founders. Hazy pinkish-gold pour with white head. Aroma is pretty subtle on cherries when comparing to blushing monk for example. Light fruity flavor with some spiciness (yeast I guess?). Palate is light and carbonation was a little flat. OK summer thirst quencher.

On tap at Z bar. Red with thin white head. Aroma is cherry. Flavor is (tart) cherry and possibly faint rhubarb. Nice but not my style.

I wouldn’t call this much of a beer, but I would call it a crisp and tart and lovely beverage. If you’re craving a beer, this won’t do it. if you’re craving a tasty and refreshing alcoholic beverage, go for it. Its primary taste tart. I wouldn’t even necessarily say cherry, just tart. It’s only very slightly sweet, not much at all. It’s a good flavor. You don’t even really taste any alcohol. So for that reason it’s a lovely change of pace once in a while and a nice summer treat. If you have a lady friend who maybe isn’t a beer fan but likes cider, see if she might like this given that it’s not very beery at all.

On tap at The Beer Engine, Cleveland. Finally got around to rating this one. Reddish coloued boy, a little retained head. Well malted down cherry taste. Its OK.

Tasted on 7/9/11 from a 12oz bottle at Inovasi. Pours clear, with a color similar to a rosé wine and a thin pink head that recedes fairly quickly to a thin collar. The nose is actually pretty straightforward with a bit of hay and cereal malt, dough yeast, along with a pleasant sweet and tart cherry. The flavor is much the same with the cherry showing a little bit more tart and earthy along with the hay and cereal malt, and the doughy yeast flavor. The body is light with very lively carbonation and a long tart cherry finish with a bit of tannin as well.

12oz bottle from Archers. This poured a dark pink color with a pinkish white head. Aroma was tart cherries and thats about it. Flavor was sweet and sour cherries with some champagne accents as well.

bottle - pours a semi-cloudy dark pinkish-orange with a rim of white foam. Aroma is of cherries, malt, and brown sugar. Taste leans a bit sweet but isn’t sour like a lambic would be. As far as the Palate, the carbonation is bright, it is medium bodied, has a thick texture and a medium weight. Overall, it is sweet and fruity without being overwhelmingly so. Nice.

Draft at Melt Bar & Grill in Cleveland, OH. Pours a deep orange/pink color with almost non-existent head. Aroma is of tart cherries. A smooth dark cherry taste with a subdued but prevalent alcohol finish. I would have preferred a slightly more aged flavor, as the flavor was predominantly cherries - however, this is a delicious, refreshing after-dinner drink or perfect for a hot day.

I enjoyed this one and I had no idea what to expect. A good summer drink. It’s a red color and dominated by cherrys, light on the palate and fairly highly carbonated. It’s cherry beer, but it’s not gross, not sugary. Try it!
