COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.

Pours a nice deep pink red with a nice pink head. Nose is cherry with some ale funk - was expecting more fruit in this for the color. Not as fruit forward as some of the other fruit beers I’ve had recently. Mouthfeel is nice, wishing for more cherry and tartness though!

On tap at The Laundry, Fenton,MI...Beautiful hazy pinkish red pour with complex cherry Lambic flavors. Brilliant balance between sweet, tart, fruit, and sour profiles. First tier ’fruit beer’ - I loved it.

Bottle. Appearance: hazy pink/red with light pink head. Aroma: doughy yeast, tart cherries. Taste: tart cherries dominate with cereal, dough, and slight grassiness. Mouthfeel: light body with light to medium carbonation. Overall: meh. Not TOO sweet like can happen with fruit beers. So they did well with the fruit but the rest is just not balanced well enough.

lusikka (2533) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 19, 2012
355 ml bottle @ O’Hara’s, Tampere.
Pours a amber pink colour with a white fluffy head. Aroma of tart cherries, bubblegum and grains. Flavour of tart cherries again, sweet berries, herbs, grains and sweet old toffee. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a sharp, mildly tart finish with sweetness. This is a fairly old bottle, but still seems to have kept some of it’s tartness intact. Still no more than a overly sweet fruit beer.
