COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ll have a soft spot for this one. Using only fresh Michigan tart cherries, this beauty tantalizes with intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. Adding fresh cherries at five separate stages of fermentation achieves the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness.

A very interesting diversion to fruit brews. This beer first gives up a taste of cherry filling, but then turns a bit sour. Not a brew I’d want over and over but a very nice change of pace.

Pours a nice deep pink red with a nice pink head. Nose is cherry with some ale funk - was expecting more fruit in this for the color. Not as fruit forward as some of the other fruit beers I’ve had recently. Mouthfeel is nice, wishing for more cherry and tartness though!

Bottle. Appearance: hazy pink/red with light pink head. Aroma: doughy yeast, tart cherries. Taste: tart cherries dominate with cereal, dough, and slight grassiness. Mouthfeel: light body with light to medium carbonation. Overall: meh. Not TOO sweet like can happen with fruit beers. So they did well with the fruit but the rest is just not balanced well enough.

True cherry aroma and an almost cherry red pour with a balanced taste and fizzy mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Poured cloudy red with slight head. Aroma was mild cherry. Flavor was a mild cherry, but with staying power. Flavor really developed half way through. Very good beer without the extreme tart and sweet flavors of some fruit beer.

Pours a light red color with a pinkish head. Aromas of cherry and bread. Tastes of cherry, dough and medicine. Didn’t care for this at all at first but after it warmed up it tasted pretty darn good.

12oz bottle, pours pink, light ruby red, small white head persists. Nose is light cherry sweet, mouthfeel is sweet, lively, delicious, like tasting a cherry pit, crisp sweet finish slightly tart, really tasty fruit beer.

Pours a clear red color with an orange tint. Has a white head with a pink tint to it. Smells of cherry, malts and some earthiness. Taste is similar, starts out fairly sweet but quickly becomes tart as the cherries set it. Finishes tart and the earthiness sets in here. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with good carbonation. Overall a decent brew; not a favorite style but something I’m starting to get into more. For the style - it is a good brew.

LOVE IT. Pours a bright ruby with pinkish head and it GLOWS. Be ready to have a second bottle in waiting as you will end up gulping this down. The malts come across to me as a high grade amber. Lots of toasty nutty, slightly caramelized...like a pie crust? The cherries are amazingly multidimensional. The Belgians could learn something from these guys. You get sweet, sour, tart and hovering essence of fresh fruit in every sip. The very first thing that came to mind when trying this was Comstock brand cherry pie filling in a can from the grocery store. The mouth fell is just right. Not to heavy and thick, but also not thin or brittle. It finishes nicely with a hint of graham cracker leaving you wanting more. A summer time pleaser if ever there was one.
