Founders Chamomile

first impression was good: a nice and strong chamomile smell as well as a very tasty chamomile flavoring....although very weak in nature, i enjoyed this beer...the best way i can described it as is REFRESHING (especially if you have been drowning yourself in strong stouts all evening!!!) :-)

Hazy yellow with a strange chamomile odor, perfumy and very strong. It’s a light Kolsch-style beer dominated by the perfuminess of the added ingredient. taste is light and really reminded me of the Heather Ale from Scotland. Refreshingly strange.

On tap at Founders. Hazy yellow/straw body, thin off-white head. The beer is called "Chamomile" and the namesake dominates both the flavor and aroma. I imagined sitting next to a box of Kleenex on a snowy winter day, sipping on this beer from a tea cup between sniffles. Behind the strong chamomile flavor was a light, somewhat tangy malt body. An interesting concept but uninspired attempt.
