3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle, Andersons. Red-copper pour, diminutive tan head dissipates into nothing and cannot be easily revived. Aroma is weaker than expected; peppery spicy, wood, brown sugar candy, booze. Flavor really heavy on the malt; oak is more evident here; light vanilla and caramel; blatant alcohol warmth but no astringency and probably could pass for a lesser 7% beer. Nothing here blows me away but this is well done.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Murky mahogany, no head just thin film of foggy remains of one. Sweet surypy malt, bit ash, bubblegum, mildly caramel, dried dark fruits, alcohol mostly hidden. Chewy, soft feel, low carbonation, full thick body, malty medium long finish with mixed sweet notes, vanilla, mocca. Nicely balanced, good warm thick feel and lively nuanced finish. Tasty winter warmer.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very rich and sweet. Honey on the nose. Much more malty than hopyy overall. Nice deep clear amber colour. Interesting to drink this next to Lagunitas Brown sugga: similar maltiness and IBU level, but totally different hoppiniess perception, this one more pure bitterness and flavour, lesss aroma and pine etc.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle purchased a couple years ago I reckon. Pours nice amber/red. Aroma is sugary sweet and toffee. Flavor is about the same. Some piny hops in the finish actually. Maybe a bit more than I’d prefer.

Everything is good, except it is too sweet. Smell with caramel, plum and malt, come in red amber with thin white crown. Taste of caramel and malt, good texture...slightly slimy

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz bottle. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet. Color is Amber orange, somewhat cloudy, with a white head that leaves a little lacing. A little sweeter than expected, but still very pleasant. Light wood flavor is perfectly balanced. Full mouthfeel. Overall a great beer that tastes nowhere near the strength that it actually is. Beware!
