Oct 4, 2007 Expensive ass bottle from Capones. Sampled with stegosaurus. Coppery /brown pour with off white head.Spice and brown sugar aroma. Sugar, alcohol and caramel taste. Blended rather well. The cerimonial hump of the bottle was done.

Jul 28, 2007 Bottle pours brownish-amber. Small, white head w/ no retention. Style more like a English Strong Ale than a spiced brew. Nonetheless, this is very good. Smooth, dry finish, no hops, ans alcohol is nonexistant. Sweet and malty. Very good.

Jan 25, 2008 This is a strange bird. First off, it tastes like Speedway, but is an Herb/Veggie. Very odd. Second, it has a finish that’s distinctly beetish in trace amounts. But unusually like a stout.

Aug 21, 2007 Dark brown, mostly clear, with nearly no head. Nice, subtle nose--sweet, with hints of tobacco and raisins, slight bitterness. Flavor is relatively sweet, toffee-like, with some tobacco, leather, almonds and walnuts. Just a very light hint of some spices--anise or cardamom perhaps.

Aug 9, 2007 Poured from a 22oz bottle into a shaker. This beer poured a slightly cloudy, dark mahogany color with a thin, yellowish/tan head that quickly disappeared, leaving a few large bubbles floating around. No lacing was left behind, but the beer was very oily and coated the sides of the glass. The aroma was made up of candy sugar, dark fruit, alcohol, sweet caramel malt, and a touch of maple syrup. The flavor was similar to a barley wine. It included notes of apple, maple syrup, very sweet malts, and candy sugar. The alcohol was apparent, but not overwhelming. The mouthfeel was definately full-bodied and very thick. It had an almost syrupy consistency that coated the tounge and mouth. Very minimal carbonation. An interesting beer, and one worthy of representing Founders 10th anniversary.

Apr 25, 2009 Amber with a thin white head. Very malt forward with plenty of fruit in the aroma. Flavor had some weird noes like minty mouthwash, and bubblegum. I also got beets in this one. Very odd finish, very odd beer, but i worked in the small sample I had.

Jul 26, 2007 Dark, reddish color. Smell of prunes, pine, rasins, brown sugar, cinamon, pepper clove, hops, malt, chocolate, ginger, grass, caramel and a touch of pine. Tastes the same but with heavy alcohol taste and a sweet bitterness at the end. Wonderful brew!

Feb 21, 2008 Bottle shared by Crosling. Poured a nice amber-garnet color with a thin beige head that diminished immediately. Sweet, malty aroma with some brown sugar and light fruit. Sweet brown sugar and caramel malt, with a slight apricot fruity undertone and a hint of yeastiness and some alcohol heat. Full on the palate, but not cloying. A really nice, different beer. Thanks for sharing Nick.
