22 oz bomber. Pours a dark, slightly hazy ruby amber with a creamy medium sized beige head. Aroma of sweet ginger, candied malts and spices. Taste is sweet with a strong ginger presence and hints of malt and spices. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to JohnGalt1 Pours out red/amber topped with a small sand head. Aroma of pit fruit, vanilla, spice, and sweet malts. Taste is much sweeter than the aroma with tons of brown sugar and caramel finishes off with a nice spice.

dark pour w/ a thick almost oily appearing tan head w/ some nice thick lacing. Aroma is well spiced definite ginger some light peppers definite alcohol a light caramel sweet piece a light anise and smoke. Full well coated creamy palate. Very sweet flavor, lots of brown sugar and caramel some light peppers and ginger, very nice, toffees and alcohol. Good stuff, but has a ton of stuff that almost detracts... Yet I enjoyed.

Bomber. Thanks, CaptainCougar! Pours lightly hazy ruby-brown. Huge malty brown sugar aroma. Full body and light carbonation. The taste is just a nutty malt explosion. Lightly spicy finish.

Rating #100 for Deca! Bottle. As I pop the cap after cellaring this for a while in the basement, I’m pretty excited to see what this one is all about. Aromas are immediately satisfying and reminiscent of some of the better barley wines I’ve tried... you know, that thick, sweet sticky smell from too much brown sugar and candi sugar and maybe a touch of molasses. There is also a bit of a peppery hint and some nice fruit like figs and dates. More than a little excited, I go for the first sip... my initial reaction is pure enjoyment as the warming and sweet flavors roll around... wishing it weren’t so dang expensive and more available. I’ve still got one in the cellar and I’m thinking that I won’t be sharing. Then, out of the blue I’m hit by some sort of vegetable gunk aftertaste... eech! It’s just in the way and doesn’t really go with the rest of the flavors or the mouthfeel or anything. Fortunately, it seems to get better as the beer warms a bit and breathes. Finishes out nicely... I wish I had polished this off in the dead of winter.

C-Bus 8 - Bottle: Pours an amber color with an off white head. Aroma, vegetal, with some hoppy notes, and some caramel. Flavor, sweet, brown sugar, some caramel, vegetal hops, some alcohol, kinda syrupy.

courtesy of Pailhead. Clear mahogany, minimal head, fades to film. Aroma has huge citrus up front, faint spice and tons of malt backbone. Caramel/toffee. Flavor dominated by caramel/toffee, spicy/herbal hops in finish, very faint. Sort of one dimensional, but not overly so, sweet but not cloying. Really dig it, but can’t score categories any higher.
