Commercial Description:
Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alpha’s used to create this monster. More IBU’s than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 112 IBUs

Bottle from Stan at Lone Hill. Aged one year. Pours a thick amber color with a faint beige head that leaves respectable lacing. Smells of malt and caramel, completely eclipsing the hop profile. Tastes like apple seeds and molasses. Very reminiscent of Pannepot with a slash. Tough stuff at 13%, but worth seeking out.

Oh yeah... I love it when this is on tap at the brewery.. It does not suck! Make sure you have your seat belt fastened on the bar stool.

pours a murky deep amber-ruby color with little or no head on it. aroma is suprisingly sweet with hints of caramel, intense spicy hops, citurs, and dark fruits, and alcohol. smells alot like a barleywine. very complex flavor with caramel and brown suger up front followed by intense spicy hops and dark fruit. mouthfeel is very syrupy and thick. finish lingers on with dark fruit and dry oaky qualities. this is a baleywine.

Bottle thanks to Pantanap. Hazy, brown color. Nose is super hops, sugary, and waters my eyes. Tastes starts off very bitter, a bit nosy and tart. Floral qualities come through along with the obvious hop and malt profile. Alcohol is upfront and evident. Full smooth mouth and almost too easy to drink. Dangerous beer that got me off to a roaring start. I have not been actively searching out hop bombs for some time but this was a nice one.

Bottle courtesy of Retorp. Pours a clear amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of citrus, grapefruit, molasses, floral hops, caramel and honey. Flavor is also sweet and malty with notes of citrus, grapefruit, caramel, honey, and some light spice and hops. Generally medium body with a pleasing hoppy finish.

courtesy of retorp. POurs dark amber with tan head. Aroma is loaded with caramel and light traces of hops. Taste, thick mouthfeel, superior malty presence all to the way to the finish, adding for some sugary notes. Light hops, very smooth and grainy. This is 13% and really didi not feel like it.

Thanks retorp for the share. Pours a caramel brown with a white head. Nose is strongly caramel and pine. The flavor is horrendously sweet malt, lots of caramel sweetness, and love blended together to make a unique beer. Very noticeable alcohol presence; not sessionable at all. This beer is on up with some of the best Triple IPA’s I have had.

Found out that this has been @ kenwood for a long time before I had purchased and was wondering where the 200+ IBUs were: Murky brown pour with first impression of a barleywine. Lots of caramel, pine, hops and malt. Not the punch in the palate I was expecting from the hops, but they are a reasonable bitter. Alcohol works its way down the chest. Decent, but want some fresh.
