Pours with no head, and countable number of bubbles, and a huge hop aroma. The aroma fades leaving a malty aged hop aroma. Veeerrry nice. Reminds me of a 2005 Double Bastard. I wonder if this bottle has been aged. I can’t tell. Taste is sweet thick and very hoppy, but extremely well balanced. A wonder. Very drinkable. I want more... more. cbeers21 (564), Miami, Florida, USA

Funky, floral hoppy/sugary smell, and a citus kick too. Aromas remind me of canned pineapples...definately pineapples. Syrupy bodied and smoothed malts yeild to a quiet push of hops towards the finish. Alcohol is very well concealed despite the high abv, it is decievably drinkable. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Bottle from trade with dra19. Pours a slightly cloudy light mahogany color with a thin broken white head. Hop aroma not overwhleming, but there’s still a sharp citric tone to it. A nice strong biscuity malt aroma is present as well. Pretty thick palate. Good hop kick to start, nice and floral without tasting too earthy. The finish is moderately hoppy and the alcohol is surprisingly well-hidden. Pretty even-handed for such a strong brew. Arayaga2 (948), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 18, 2007 Beautiful clear copper with almost no head. Aroma is syrupy sweet with citrus, pineapple, and after a while the hops come away to reveal the earthy malt. Wow, this is a rich product, and strong with alcohoppy goodness. This thing toasts my tongue. Malt is also strong, but it barely keeps up with the rest of the brew, which stays with me minutes after I sip it. Rating #500, and I’m quite pleased with my selection! $5/12oz MadIndian (992), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Sweet hoppy aroma, floral taste but a real good blend. I got to tell you that Stegosaurus knows his beers. Thanks bro ! merlin48 (511), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 12, 2007 I must admit that when I was first introduced to this about three years ago the nomenclature of "triple ipa" was a bit intimidating. This is still an intimidating beverage. Nice looking pour reveals a radiant cherry amber body with a small and quickly vanishing beige head. Huge aroma of all kinds of hop notes backed an equally large backing of maltiness. Citrus rind, pine, spices, and earthiness jump all over the chewy malt profile. Syrupy maltiness, resinous hops, and hot alcohol all bounce off each other. Aggressive, challenging, and still memorable. Keep away from children. jglerum (1), USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Dangerously strong and deceptively rich and smooth, this triple IPA immediately catapulted to the top of my favorite beers list. Love at first sip! gmcase (113), Indiana, USA

Smells of citrus hops with an obviously strong malt backbone. first drink .. whoa.. holy sh#$. Strong and as alchoholic as a barley wine. Almost toooo much? However, as it warmed to room temperature I was welcomed into Hopdom, where the streets are paved with malts and hops fall from the sky. Founders isn’t playing around!!!
