Commercial Description:
Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alpha’s used to create this monster. More IBU’s than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 112 IBUs

05 bottle from thebeercellars cellar. Pours a dark amber color with very little head. Aroma is malty caramel with still quite a bit of bitter hops. Flavor is nice caramel malts with nice bitter finish. The alcohol is a little strong. Still pretty hoppy for 2 years old!

Pours hazy dark amber with a light brown head. Aroma is Lightly malty of cookies and carmel, heavily hoppy or resin and grapefruit with a bit of leather esters. Flavor is well balanced, hoppy with plenty of malty backbone. it finishes more on the bitter side with a distince grapefruit taste. Medium bodied watery, and creamy , livley carbonated with a bit of alcohol in the finish.

35,5 cl bottle. Dark amber colour with a nice fine white head. Great aroma of malt, caramel and quite hoppy. Nice hoppy flavour with notes of alcohol, caramel and a lot of hops.

This beer has a slight sweetness to it on the nose and the palate. Strong alchol taste that does do well with the other flavors. A must try.

12 oz bottle from several traders. Holy hell is this stuff potent. They claim that this is 200+ IBU’s and that may be no lie. This is about as extreme of an IPA as I have had, and it borders on being ridiculous. Wouldn’t this be a Barley Wine? This style is ok in very small doses, but it is way way way too friggen sweet for my tastes. As I drank this, my mouth felt like I ate a whole bag of cotton candy. Not my thing, but to each his own.

Pours a reddish maroon color with little to no head. Smells of monster hops and must. Taste is sort of sweet hoppy, not the piney hoppy you would think. Definitely get that heavy alcohol in this one. Somewhat bitter in the finish although still pretty smooth. Get real sweet malts, and slight raisins taste, mixed in with the bitterness. Quite a monster of an IPA.

Huge malt character is an undertstament. it was like a milkshake. Great tasting, but too much alcohol for my liking. Had to share it with a couple of folks.
