COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alpha’s used to create this monster. More IBU’s than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 112 IBUs

Pours a clear copper on tap with thin off-white head that leaves light lace. Aroma is big on the caramel malt with a nice hoppy back end. Taste follows, very big, definitely feel the booze on the way down, but still resinous citrus and pine notes, good bitterness. Intense but nice.

Malty dark fruit aroma almost like a quad but with some citrus that brightens it up a little bit. Pours opaque Amber brown with very thin off white head. Thick. Sweet. Lots of fruit with a strong bitterness toward the end and jaw tingling throat warming esters. This is really good.

Poured from bottle into a tulip glass. Appearance is Amber with a small head that dissipates quickly. Taste of malt followed by a strong hop bitterness that lasts and lasts. Somewhat boozy but overall a solid beer

Intense hoppy flavor, and great dark Amber color. Really strong hoppy flavor with a sweet after taste.

Bottle - dark tea color with a small head. Aroma and taste of alcohol. It’s apparently really hard to hide 12% ABV. Has a dry burnt biscuit flavor to it along with syrupy dark candy. Not really bitter but pretty dry.

Smell is a bit like sweeter hops but mild, very cool reddish color, taste is quite hoppy and alcohol on front but mellows out to a little sweet and tasty, hops the whole way though very low malt...hot alcohol through a lot of it..very harsh if you drink slow

Bottle from Total Wine. Pours Amber with very little head. Not much on the nose, but then you take a sip. Wow! Deep malt backbone followed by a long, dry hop finish. It has the heavy mouthfeel of a barley wine, but then those 112 IBU's hit you. Exceptional and unique beer. Highly recommend.

Caramel, candied orange, and brown sugar in the aroma. Taste is initially caramel and orange, some berries in there too. Next is very grassy hops and alcohol booze.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2015 Refrigerated 12 oz. bottle, bottled on May 4, 2015, poured into a glass. Dark Amber with small beige head. Aroma is dank hops, medium/thick body, syrupy texture, medium/low carbonation, and small-bubble lacing. Taste is dank hops, strong malt, and bitter finish. Heavy and not much grapefruit hops.

Aroma of dark fruit, pine resin, but also an off plastic-rubber aroma, and a touch of acidic cherry. Appears clear bronze, not much fizz. Pretty balanced sweet and bitter profile, bready malts and yeast stand out more than hops. Palate is oily, could be more fizzy. Overall, it is ok.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2015 3 months. Bottle. Deep bubbly amber. No booziness. No head. Sweet raisin syrup nose. Very syrupy. Very raisin, fig. Mild hoppiness. Aged to barleywine very quickly (even though my party stote only got this beer in a month ago... grumble) or it just straight up lacks the bittering quality of hopping.
