A beautiful deep reddish amber pours from the glass and looks heavy as the head forms. A thick frothy finger thick head is off beige and has thick bubbles. Really great lacing and some slight alcoholic legs.
Really thick caramel and malt notes are the first on the nose and they’re followed quickly by strong booze and hop notes. Marijuana, citrus, and grassy notes are all present. The malt here is really the strongest stand out on the nose. Surprising for a Triple IPA.
Lots and lots of roasty caramel and malt on top. Followed closely by burning hops that take a few sips to adjust to. A boozy character in the center takes a moment to shine but really helps the entire beer showcase the hops. Citrus is the strongest hop character along with a slight piney flavor.
Thick and heavy in the mouth carried well by a decent amount of carbonation.
Great overall. Incredibly thick, rich and flavorful. Although the caramel and malt slightly steal the show. This shouldn’t be considered an IPA but something more akin to a barleywine. A bit pricey but something I look forward to trying year after year.

12 oz pour from chilled bottle into tulip glass. Deep amber, semi-clear, moderate evident carbonation, with a fizzy, bubbly yellow-white head. Intense nose. Herbal, fruity, bitter, resiny, citrus, pine, malt, booze and every other scent hops can produce. Thick and aggressive body. Sticky and pungent. Taste is extreme super bitter, boozy, piney/woodsy. Wow. Comparable to Dogfishhead’s 120 minute. Too much for me, but I definitely respect the intensity.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Aroma is a very resiny hop. Appearance is a slightly hazy bronze with no head. Taste is a sweet hop flavor that fades out fast. Not too boozy. Overall, very good for an iPa this strong.

On tap @ STOUT NYC. giallo ambrato carico, velata, schiuma beige molto fine e persistente. aroma intenso, fruttato, arancia candita, frutta esotica, caramello, liquore, leggermente tostato. gusto dolce quasi amabile l’ingresso, lieve acidità e finale decisamente amaro. fruttato ed erbaceo/resinoso. Calda, non troppo carbonata, corposa, abbastanza rotodna nonostante l’amaro intenso. equilibrata ed armonica

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
3 month or so old bottle into snifter glass, hazy golden-hued amber color with light tan lacing. Aroma notes of caramel malt sweetness, citrus, resin, almost woody, slightly herbal, some fruitiness and tad grass. Taste adds toffee, candy sugar, some baking spices and earthy bitterness. Heavy body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy, dry with lingering citrus/pine bitter finish. Almost like a very bitter barleywine, pretty good slow drinker.

Bottle (12oz): i had this two days ago and details are fuzzy others that this was an extreme hop bomb that finished with some alcohol burn. Need to try again and give more details

Great nose. Can smell sticky hops and alcohol. Taste is a little too sweet for me but makes it very drinkable for the ABV. wouldn't try this again. Might be able to pass this off as a barley wine.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Lovely deep red with amber highlights and an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, tropical fruit, grass, alcohol, toffee, and wood. Taste is potent; sweetness dominates, but woody and bitter flavors abound. Alcohol, while noticeable, particularly as it warms, is still surprisingly subtle. A little dry. Full, thick, syrupy body with soft carbonation. Excellent.

Tap at McCoy’s. Light amber with frothy off white head and good lacing. Really nice bready malted sweet and alcohol aroma. Rich sweet biscuit taste. Sweet then bitter hop finish. Oily but then drying at the end. Lots of flavor with alcohol bite. Glad I danced with this devil.

Bottle to IPA glass. Orange / red amber, medium orange head. Sweet woody aroma, alcohol. Sweetish syrup balanced by strong hops. Long bitter hop finish. Basically Triple Trouble, a slightly more intense version of Founders Double Trouble. Similar in intensity to Sierra Nevada Hoptimum bit not as complex.

Beautiful foamy head, slightly creamy color. Very hoppy aroma, very resin forward, no alcohol present yet. Powerful, bitter, now the alcohol level comes thru. Foam has all but disappeared, powerful, the alcohol is balanced as it warms. Great beer.
