COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alpha’s used to create this monster. More IBU’s than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 112 IBUs

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2015 Bottle: I would rather lick Ron Jeremy’s colonoscopy probe, post-exam than allow another single drop of this onion & garlic cock chowder to pass through my lips. If someone were to ever offer me a Devil Dancer, I would ask for an empty glass and gag myself about six or seven times into it, because I honestly think my own bile would be easier to drink.

Pours two finger of head on a dark straw body. Aroma is complex: lemon, pineapple, papaya and a little bread. Taste is moderate bitterness but bold, fairly sweet at the back end, a little alcohol heat at the finish. Texture is thicker.

355ml bottle. Clear redish with beige head. Aroma is caramel, sharp hoppines with spicy, grapefruit and citrus notes and warming alcohol. Taste is sweet caramel, grapefruit, mango, dry citrus zest and again almost spicy hop notes. Fairly heavy almost rough mouthfeel, medium carbonation and lasting bitter aftertaste with pressing alcohol warmth.

Tap at Ale Arsenal. Clear copper-amber. flavor is really geared to the malt/sugar. The high alcohol shows itself with high residual sugar. A very good beer, but would love a little more attenuation.

Bottle from bottle rev in Raleigh NC. Looks deep caramel and tastes of it as well. Older hops in this maybe because of the age. It's quite sweet unlike a 120 ipa. It's a little underwhelming but should have tasted it younger. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared. Thanks Gregg! Tons of toasted caramel, toffee and very malt-forward on the nose and palate. Well-balanced with the malt doing the heavy lifting, but the hops shine on the finish and leave a nice bitterness. This feels and drinks a lot more like a hoppy barley wine. Still good stuff.

Bottle date of 5/10/16, into tulip. Goes in smooth without a fuss, head fades quickly. Smell a sweet citrus liquor, amaretto, Tuaca, caramel, malt, nose stings slightly. First sip is divine...more caramel, bitter northwest hop, vanilla, bit of nut oils perhaps...pecan or almond, slight grape/raisin, a bit chewy. Lots of dextrose here for our little friends to gobble up. Long pleasant finish. Not as fragrant as I had hoped, albeit still perfectly executed. Bravo Founders...Bravo

Hoprider (362) - DENMARK - JUN 18, 2016
Pours a clear reddish brown with a small white head. Nose sadly has too much bitter caramel malt and so does the taste and this is even somewhat fresh. I know that this is what you expect for the style.. There is hop bitterness pressent and sweetness to but I just dont get this sort of unballanced overkill. Semi bitter, boozy and malty aftertaste.

This is a big boy beer. Beautiful....Reddish - marmalade in color, light beige. Sweet caramel, florals, resiny hops and citrus. Not as boozy as I expected on the tongue, everything came together exquisitely, chocolate notes, pine, grapefruit..... a basket of liquid awesome.

Pours a deep amber brown with a taste of malt & pine with a slight note of orange & a mild caramel finish. A 12% Tripple!
