COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alphaís used to create this monster. More IBUís than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 112 IBUs

Pours a hazy copper with about a finger of off-white head. The head looked to build as the beer sat. Decent amount of lacing and slight carbonation. Aroma is a lot of roasted malts and caramel with dark fruits. A lot of plum and cherry mixed with a slight touch of alcohol. Resembles a barleywine very closely. Mouth has a lot of malt and caramel again. A lot of alcohol and bitter hops. There is a pleasent citrus note that is blended in. Some grapefruit and dark fruits. This beer was much more like a barleywine than an IPA, but nonetheless, an awesome beer.

The first triple IPA I had though I did have 120 minute. This one is maltier and I donít like that so much in this one. It tangles with barleywine and strong ale territory. That aside this is great in autumn. Citrus pine toffee resin aromas and flavors. Long warm bittersweet finish. Abv isnít hidden but no overly apparent either.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Hazy, reddish copper with small khaki head and excellent lacing. Aroma of pine, toffee, orange and grapefruit. Taste of citric hops (mainly grapefruit and orange), toffee, pine and alcohol. Full body and high/medium carbonization. Very hoppy, but with enough malt and alcohol that it could have just as well been classified as a hoppy barleywine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wow. Great deep red color, small not overly carbonated off white head. Very smooth for it's immensity. Definitely worth trying and added to my favorites! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep reddish copper with small lacing. Nose is caramel, candy lace, very sweet. Taste is candy-like, with some bittering. Nice thick mouthfeel. Itís an interesting brew thatís more like a dessert beer.

Draught sample at SBWF. Heavy malty like a barley wine with hop oils. Extra of everything and over the top, good but too much.

Citrus, grapefruit, caramel aroma. Pours a brownish orange. Strong caramel citrus taste. Good bitter kick on palette.

Aroma is very citrusy, definitely grapefruit. It has a very dark copper color and barely any head. Taste is very intense.. mostly citrus, a good amount of hops, and... alcohol. It might be a bit strong for my taste. Overall it does taste good. Just not sure if 12%abv beers are for me

Sample @ SBWF. Hard to rate and describe. Tastes a bot like a overhopped barley wine or a bock bier on steroids. Notes of pine needles, marzipan and grapefruit.

"toeing the line of double ipa and becoming something else completely. a barleywine? a strong ale, like a 120 minute ipa lite? dark orange, just about red, super thick. reminded me a lot of Unearthly, but with an additional bitter hop kick at the end that unearthly did not have. Very nice. Definitely a sipper. Thanks John!"

A clear copper body with a thin fast fading head. Aroma was a mix of caramel malts, alcohol, some vanilla & some pine hops. Flavor was initially sweet, pine notes were more prevalent and the alcohol rounded out the flavors. Easy to drink. Decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
