Huge malty brew that is barely balanced by an outrageous amount of hops. This beer is a monster. Thanks to hopsrus for the oppurtunity to try this! Dogbrick (2925), Columbus, Ohio, USA

I anxiously wait to find out if we will see a quadruple IPA before a 4-bladed razor. As for the beer, it is a simmering reddish orange color with a thin and compact light beige head. Very little lacing. The aroma is peppery, with hops, citrus and a baby’s breath of malt. Very rich-bodied. I like to drink even the hoppiest IPA normally but this is definitely a sipper. Citrusy hops and alcohol dominate but do not overpower. Surprising amount of sweet malt to balance, which lends to the Barley Wine characteristic this beer has. The finish is long and hot. Thoroughly enjoyable. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

Powerful west coast hops smack-in-the-head taste. For an unbalanced beer, extra hoppy bitterness zing, it is a pleasureable mouthfeel. Fantastic! Thanks mds. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA

Aroma is big - piney citrusy hops and sweet malt. Body is thick and smooth - almost syrupy and later almost cloying. Sweet caramel toast malts - a lot more malt here than I thought there would be. I guess with 200 ibu, I was hoping for straight hop juice! The finish and aftertaste are where all the hop action is tho - long lingering grapefruit and pine along with a bit of roasty malt sweetness. This seems to be right in the middle of IPA and Barleywine. Rockinout (946), Kent, Ohio, USA

Chewy malts in the body with the citrus hops finishing this dance out. Alcohol is hidden in this devil. Lookout! howie (549), DeForest, Wisconsin, USA

Gingery spicy bitterness, huge malty sweetness. Bitterness is apparently well past the point of maximum perception. Massive toasty, toffeeish specialty malts keep it in "balance". Huge, enjoyable. The aroma is super hoppy - with lots of alfa acid - lovely but overpowers any other aromas. The flavor is like chewing on fresh hops giving the impression of lots of alfa acids, hop oil, and a bitter end. Nice one.
