12 oz. bottle from fidelis83 via trade- thanks, Jeremiah! Pours a hazy red-orange color with a very small off-white head that leaves a ring and a tiny bit of lacing. A variety of hops on the aroma, as well as notes of mixed fruits (citrus, apricot, pineapple), toffee, and caramel malt. The flavor is hoppy and malty, and not as bitter as you’d expect based on the description. Notes of fruits (grapefruit especially), caramel, and then some alcohol late. A balance of bitter and sweet/malty. There is a lingering bitterness, but not hoppy- more medicinal, as dasilky1 points out. Dry, with a medium body and almost sticky mouthfeel. Very good, but I would have liked that bitterness to be more hoppy or natural than it felt.

Pours a deep hazy red orange with a lot of effervescence, but not really any head. A orange-beige foamy rim though. The aroma is extremely complex with brown sugar, scotch, resin, citrus, alcohol... there is almost too much going on. The flavor hits first with a deep caramelized malt with a toffee nuttiness. The next wave is the extraordinary bitter. However, because of the strong malt, I almost get a spectrum of fruit on the way to bitter resin. It is as though the flavor profile sweeps through golden raisins, to apricot, until the bitter takes over with a citrus rind and finally the resin. The body is extremely rich. Though this beer kind of needs it to balance out the ridiculous bitterness, it might almost be a little bit too sweet. That would really be my only complaint.

Bottle: Pours a just slightly hazed deep red-raped bronze with lasting, creamy light orange head. Nose was full of fruits like mango, nectarine, and apricot. Flavors were a nice palate of fermenting fruits with a dry, slightly medicinal finish...but in a good way. Bitterness is strong yet mostly balanced by the fruity malt notes combined with the fruity esters of the hop influence. The body is approaching syrupy, but not quite getting there. Three’s an underlying sweetness but its not cumbersome and only brings out the fruit notes. Its a very warming beer but its not hot...until it reaches the throat and stomach. Finish is grapefruit bitter with the fruity essences clinging to the taste buds and a medicinal dryness breathing fire in the throat. Its certainly a big beer, but its done quite well (4.0/5)..as a side note, as you drink more, the finish of creamy grapefruit bitterness kind of takes over the experience and you forget the subtle nuances of before...so, since a rating should be from a full bottle and not a 2oz ticker sampler, i must reduce it by one point for a decreased experience as I progressed through the bottle. Still, good stuff.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. At $18 for a four-pack my expectations are quite high. DD pours murky orange with a medium-sized delayed head. The nose is, unsurprisingly, full of hop flowers and citric acid. The is a great beer for the style. I typically enjoy regular IPAs better than Impies but, being objective, this is well-balanced with the huge alcohol profile hidden nicely but not obscured completely. The body is medium in heaviness and somehow manages to avoid being oily despite its large hop profile. The finish is dry and warm. The commercial despcription is apt... it is dangerously drinkable.

Not much aroma, probably would be better with warming. For a tripple IPA it was suprisingly easy to drink. These type of beers are over the top. Like a substitute for Jim Beam or Jack! That being said. I am a hophead so I liked it but would onlt drink it once in awhile. Smooth, bitter, and syrupy. Recomended if you if you are a hardcore hophead.

Piney aroma like a Christmas tree. Filmy head which dissolved into a small head in the middle of my pint glass. Powerful rich flavor. There is no hiding that this is high ABV. But they have done a great job in blending the alcohol and flavor.

Pours an amber color with a thin off-white ring which leaves a few rainy streaks of lacing. Aroma is intense hops - spruce, pineapple and some subdued malts. Taste is rather thick with lots of pineapple and piney hops, and light caramel malts. Very well balanced and smooth for being 12 abv. A very solid IIPA.

12oz bottle. Scents of orange peel, and sweet pine. Murky, cloudy, burnt orange hue, with light lacing. Looks like an IPA with my name written all over it. In other words, beautiful. This beer is filled with flavor from start to finish, and it lingers on and on. Bitter hops and rich, gooey maltiness sits on your tounge even after it hits your belly, leaving you craving for more. I cant believe this beer is 12%abv, the alcohol is completely hidden... ...until you stand up. Whoa!!!
