4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours cloudy amber. The nose is caramel and hops. Comes across the palate as caramel, honey, and hops. Excellent heavy sipper.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from 12oz bottle into standard pint glass. Color is a rumbling, dark amber brown. Thin, oily head. Rich, candied malt notes dominate the aroma, with whatever bloom was left of the hops hiding in the back. Similar to putting my face to a grain bin and inhaling sharply through the nose. Viscous and enveloping in the mouth. Flavor sticks to your gums. None of the citrus notes I was expecting from an imperial IPA were to be found. This is closer to imperial stout than a pale ale in flavor. Lots of malts. For all the advertised IBUs (112), there is limited bitterness, and the beer is well balanced in that regard. From the first sip you are aware that this is high gravity drinking. With so much going on (the malts! the distant, yet consistent bitterness! the alcohol!) this beer remains drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. The pour is a dark amber, or a mild copper color. The head is a light tan and fades down quickly leaving a small spotty lace. The Arabia pretty hoppy. It's got a good caramel malt characteristic to it, which isn't overly expected in an IPA. There is also a dark fruit resonating throughout the back end of the nose. The flavor is very similar. There is a little sting of bitter at the front, but it fades through a caramel type of maltiness and then a strong booziness on the back end. There is a little bit of a burning hop in the back end as well. The mouth feel is pretty creamy, and the aftertaste lingers beautifully. Not really what I'd call an IPA, but to each their own I suppose. Almost like a barleywine.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draught at the Big Hunt in Washington, DC. Pretty good double (triple) IPA - but not the most amazing beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from 2012 bottle into tulip: Pours cloudy amber with a one finger beige head. Aroma of fruit, nuts, and malt. Taste is very, very malty but it masks the massive amount of hops in this beer. Itís amazingly balanced, but there is just too much of everything. This beer was WAY too harsh when it was fresh. It aged extremely well. Itís still not great because itís too malty, but itís much better than it was. Boozy finish, full body, lingering, not bad.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lots of malt on the nose and taste. Aroma is pungent floral and hops. A bit heavy but cleans off in the finish with a lingering bitterness. Overall good but not sure Iíd get it again.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Beautiful amber. Hoppy notes on the nose and tongue up front. Big malt smack in the face and the backend. And a little nutty flavor on the palate.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Let this one calm down for a few months. This is the standard for a triple ipa. Founders knocks it out of the yard again with this beast. Only hopheads need apply

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Legal for recreational use in Colorado and Washington state. Hazy orange brown pour with thin white head. Aroma is dank body odor and citrus rind, but in a good way. Taste follows the nose with a bitter finish. Almost oily mouth feel.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle date partially rubbed off: so unk
A: Pours a nice ruddy amber ale with less than a finger of creamy foam which dissipates to a sheet of the same. No lace.
S: Wow, this shitís dank like a muthaí fuckaí (insert Sam Jackson voice over). I really canít smell anything beyond the weed notes. Jesus, this takes me back to high school. I really canít imagine a "triple IPA", but Iím convinced this is the definition.
T: Snap! Weed, lemon rinds, rosemary (burnt), body odor, onion, more weed. Goddam this is hardcore. I like it....too much.
M: Medium bodied with moderate on low carb. Man, this beer is fucking intense, I struggle to care about anything except to say, the hops are insane!!!!
O: Wowzaa! I havenít had a hop bomb like this in years. I mean, when you first start drinking IPAís and you look for the most intense oral hop rape?! Yeah, this does that....again. Fuck me rotten this is insane. I canít even tell if I like it cuz I finished so fast, which makes me want more! Like my first piece of pussy.
