Commercial Description:
Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alpha’s used to create this monster. More IBU’s than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 200+ IBUs

Bottle. Dark amber tinged brown body, requires a vigourous pour but rewards me with a good sized creamy beige head, that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Big resiny hop juggernauts lead the aroma with caramel malt hangers on. Slight hint of booze. First sip is a powerful eye opener. Massive resiny hops with unexpectedly leafy green undertones. Sweet caramel malt tries to balance things but ultimately fails to do mor than mitigate the onslaught. Long lingering resiny hop bitterness in the aftertaste becomes cumulative, growing along with the alcohol as the glass goes on. Full bodied smooth palate pleasantly coats the tongue. Wow. Definitely more towards a barleywine, this is more of a sipper than most double IPAs. Thanks for the trade! (1FastSTI i believe!) [Had this a point higher, but its tough to finish the whole bottle as it warms up.]

Bottle courtesy of Secret Santa Ty5592. Pours a beautiful hazy orange with a soapy off white head. Aroma of tons of hops, malt, and some earthy notes. Flavor is huge malty sweetness and insanely well balanced hop bitterness. Goes down the hatch with a nice Slick oilymouthfeel. I somehow think the hops have faded since this was released a while back because this is a lot maltier and less hoppier than I thought it would be. Regardless even with a little age on this this is one hell of a brew. Definitely gonna do a trade next time this brewed so I can try it fresh.

Amber to red in color with a light beige colored head. Smell is pine, citrus, caramel, and sweet. Taste is a nice bitterness with the pine and citrus coming from the hops, but it blends and balances well with the malts. Alcohol is well balanced in the to the brew as well. Medium to full body. Good beer.

an absolutely wonderful triple. this gay rating system requires that i put down 75 characters to explain how much i like it. so.....if you try it, youll like it. it burns alittle from the high alchohol content, but its worth it. fantastic.

Wicked hoppy aroma and a beautiful deep amber color. Truly something to behold in the glass. Flavor is one-dimensional, but MASSIVELY HUGE - Hops. The finish was incredibly bitter and long-lasting: well after the last swallow I couldn’t shake the taste. This beer is a bit of an enigma to me. Why go to all the trouble of making it so darn powerful if in the process all flavors except the hops are destroyed? I don’t doubt that under the right conditions this beer could make one believe that all is right in the world, but I have yet to find that happy place. Sooooo, for me this beer is completely over-the-top.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a very nice cloudy deep amber with beige head. Aroma is very hoppy and obvious alcohol notes that blended very well. Flavor is of nice strong hops, sweet malt, alcohol to boot that blends in smoothly. Mouthfeel is full bodied heavy beer, med. carbonation. Overall this is very nice.......has warming effect.
