COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

A great scotch ale and pours with little head. Bitterness in the aftertaste with little hint of the alcohol content. Great with food or as an evening treat.

When you talk about hop bombs this isn’t it. but if you want to talk about a malt bomb you came to the right place. pours ruby brown with barely any head to speak of. Aromas of roasted malts lots of different malts 10 in fact, also aromas of alcohol and smoke, taste is of alcohol, malts, toffee, and peat. the harsness of the alcohol tames as beer warms and relaxes to a warm caramel sweetness but laddie be careful cause this brew has a kick with 8.3 ABV content

12oz bottle. This is a nice style. Pours a deep copper color with a thin light tan head. Has a sweet malt aroma. Flavor is malty sweet with the bitterness to back it. A liitle dry but smooth. A medium to full body beer. A good beer.

12oz bottle. Pours murky, dark, caramelly brown with a thin light brown head. Smells malty fruity sweet, some alcohol, some dish towel. Tastes malty and less sweet than it smells. A bit of cereal malt flavor as well. Medium body, subdued carbonation.

This is pretty much the best american Scotch Ale you’re going to find. Gorgeous dark red pour. Big nose, Huge, malty, smokey flavor. Especially pleasing if you love scotch whiskey. Alcohol is nicely hidden. A staple for the style.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Dark ruby, hazy, with almost no head, slight ring. Peaty grass, earthy brown sugar aroma. Brown sugar dark fruit mild peat and grass flavor with mild underlying bitterness and some lingering fruity sweetness. Medium-full body and too little carbo. Something happened that killed the carbo on this. Too bad. Otherwise an excellent beer.

Poured from bottle to English pint glass. Reddish-brown in color with thin head. Aroma of malt and peat. Good, solid taste of malt with a little hoppy bite to it as well. Not as much peat in the taste as other Scotch ales I’ve had...not a complaint, but an observation. A very good beer worth seeking out.
