COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer ďainít fer the wee ladsĒ

Bottle from Tom (oldgrowth) Thanks! Brown colored pour. Head is there, then it goes away pretty quick. Taste is malty and rich, and very smooth. All these beers that this brewery makes (that I have had) are so smooth, you could drink the entire bottle with one sip. Very nice, and not really a style that is my favorite, but this one is very nice.

Beer pours dark mahogeny color with an off white head. Aroma is nicely malty. Flavor is smoked malt with a bit of smoked peat. Enjoyable.

Bottle shared by <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank> mds, thanks Mike. Deep ruby in colour, thin beige head, some lace. The aroma had some butterscotch, plums, caramel malts and some small amounts of noticable alcohol. The flavour was a bit smoky, lots of sweet caramel malts, traces of alcohol. Chewy bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes lingering, nicely bitter, some alcohol warmth. Not to bad.

"Poured a brown/red color okay head weak lacing. Aroma was like sweet candy like ealge said. Flavor was a little to sweet for my liking but of caramel. I didnít pick up enough smoke and peat. Okay beer could have been better. "

Burgandy pour with fading head. Nose featured rummy fruits, mainly figs. Flavour shares the deepness of the fruits, with peaty smoke, and a medicinal undertone.

This one poured a reddish brown color with a nice initial head. Lacing was weak. Aroma was sweet candy (cinnamin also?), some smoke, some caramel. The flavor was a bit too sweet, caramel and some sort of a candy I couldnít place. Hop presence was detectable and the peat smoke flavors light for the style. But, this was still pretty enjoyable.

BOttle. Big sweet malty/hoppy nose. Dark brown body with a film of bubbles. Taste-honey, mildly husky, sweet, medium spicy hops, caramel, very light smoke.

Strong roasted qualities, intense caramel, tootsie roll. Sour grapes in the flavor, with alcohol. Thick body and richness.

Dark mahogany in color with a small tan head. Nice bold sweet malt flavor, a little syrupy. A touch of smoke and dark fruit. The hops are more abundant than expected, a nice surprise, I like the hop bitterness. This is a very good bold beer.

Pours nice garnet brown with almost zero head. Aroma is richly caramel and toffee, chewy chocolate with a touch of light hops. The flavor has a nice bitterness to cover the mentioned flavors, and is thick and syrupy in the mouth. Perhaps a little overcarbonated. It still rolls down the throat nice and smooth.
