Commercial Description:
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Draft at Flying Saucer. Cloudy, mostly opaque beer, like a hazy maple syrup. Sweet boozy nose with some nice nuttiness and a lot of malt. Really complex flavors of caramel, toffee, smoke, alcohol. It’s far from refreshing, more of a slow drinking beer worth complemplating. Tasty stuff.

Bottle. A beautiful walnut brown pour with a decent tan head. Aroma of bitter dark chocolate with toffee and coffee. Peat, smoke, dark chocolate and roasted malt in the falvor, and some hoppiness. Good mouthfeel. Short finish. Excellent brew from the fine folks at Founders.

Hazy opaque red brown pour with a thin white head. Nutty malt aroma. Some roast as well. Bitter chocolate and caramel malt flavor with almost a smokiness and lots of bitter hops to finish. Very dry without any sweetness, but balanced. Alcohol lingers a bit on tongue.

12oz bottle: Pours cloudy brown with an orangish-tint. Slight to no-head. Sweet roasted aroma with hints of caramel and toffee. Lots of caramel and some smokiness initially. Finishes hoppy and slightly dry. Medium body and good carbonation...this beer is well balanced and goes down very smoothly. I’ll definitely pick this one up again.

Bottle acquired through Sparky27...ERIC, you da man!!! Butterscotch candy color with a nice 1/2 inch pale yellow head. Smell is quite sweet and sugary. Caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and even a touch of hops. Flavor is roasted malt and all of the flavors that accompany it...the mild citrus bite is evident in the finish. Syrupy and good...great on pancakes and waffles!!!

Pours a reddish brown in color. Theres a nice half inch of beige head sitting atop after the pour. It quickly recedes to a ring of froth. Smell is wonderful. Very incredible malts and a nice scotch like, peaty scent. Taste is more velvety smooth malt. Some toffee and some liquor like qualities. Very smooth with just a hint of hop bite at the end. Incredible beer. No hint of the ABV while drinking. I could drink this all the time.

Bottle. Hazy caramel color with a tan head. Toffee and caramel nose, toast, alcohol as it warms. Roasty malt flavor, brown sugar, tiny bit of smoke and chocolate. Light bitter hops. Slightly metallic finish. Easy drinking for ABV.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber with a 2 finger light tan head and spotty lacing. Nose is caramel, brown sugar and alcohol. Taste is smoke, roasted malt, caramelized sugar, bitter dark chocolate and some hoppy alcohol bite in the finish. Medium mouth feel. Not bad at all.
