Commercial Description:
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

very dark amber pour with a smooth head. Aroma was nice.. first taste was not what I expected. Very nice - I have had some Scottish Ales and didn’t expect much here. Very complex taste with new flavors in every sip. Aftertaste is good as well.. nice carbonation gives it a full feel in the mouth

My first Founders courtesy Alraomon. 12 oz. bottle. Thank you Sean! Red pour with a small head and floaties. Caramel aroma with brown sugar, toffee and subtle bitter notes. Taste is toffee, slight bitterness and subtle peat notes. Medium bodied. Awesome beer.

20080830 12oz bottle RB Spirits. Cola brown with lasting tan head. Aroma is earthy, dirty, mulch...okay peat. It’s a bit of a turnoff but it’s rated highly enough I fiugured I should give it a shot. Sweet with sticky malts, chocolate notes, more detritus. Pretty hot. Meh...I could do without scotch ales.

A great scotch ale and pours with little head. Bitterness in the aftertaste with little hint of the alcohol content. Great with food or as an evening treat.

12oz bottle. Pours dark ruby brown with a moderate-sized mocha head. Has an aroma and flavor of malts with dark fruits and bittersweet chocolate. Alcohol is well hidden.

When you talk about hop bombs this isn’t it. but if you want to talk about a malt bomb you came to the right place. pours ruby brown with barely any head to speak of. Aromas of roasted malts lots of different malts 10 in fact, also aromas of alcohol and smoke, taste is of alcohol, malts, toffee, and peat. the harsness of the alcohol tames as beer warms and relaxes to a warm caramel sweetness but laddie be careful cause this brew has a kick with 8.3 ABV content

12oz bottle. This is a nice style. Pours a deep copper color with a thin light tan head. Has a sweet malt aroma. Flavor is malty sweet with the bitterness to back it. A liitle dry but smooth. A medium to full body beer. A good beer.

12oz bottle. Pours murky, dark, caramelly brown with a thin light brown head. Smells malty fruity sweet, some alcohol, some dish towel. Tastes malty and less sweet than it smells. A bit of cereal malt flavor as well. Medium body, subdued carbonation.
