COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Bottle. A- Caramel, burnt sugar, sweet, dark fruits, dough. A- Very dark mahogany color, clear dark liquid, off white head. T- Caramel malts, brown sugar, slightly sweet, dried dark fruits, P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, strong finish. O- A very good beer. More of a Barleywine than any scotch ale I have had. Full of complexity and lots of flavor. The malts make for a sweet caramely dark fruity goodness. Much good to be said about this beer.

Bottle. Aroma is like chocolate raisins with some woody character. Appearance is a dark reddish brown and translucent. Taste is sweet and bitter. A heavy bodied ale with a bitter bite on the finish.

Damn tasty. Dark red brownish pour thin head. Lots of malt and some peat aroma. Toffee and caramel with peat and roasted peanuts. Very tasty and a nice to go beer. Medium body light carbonation.

Deep ruby-brown with no head. Smells like peat, licorice, dark fruit. Taste is quite smoky; lots of peat, some sweetness. Hops give it a crisp backbone. Very good.

Bottle - small foamy head, nice dark amber color, sweet rich malty aroma and flavor with a hint of smoke - very good for a scotch style ale (which I am normally not a big fan of) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy red/brown with a beige ring around the edge of the glass. Aroma has caramel, lots of sweetness and vanilla. Taste is as above but with a small hop bite. Medium/full body, soft carbonation. Dry after taste.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique August 2013. Another very good scotch ale from these guys. Big vanilla and toffee notes and a smooth almost rum like flavour.
