Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Wine color red with a thick tan foam. Deep malt aromatics of toast and biscuit. There is a slight raisin that hides away. Light carbonation but medium/full body. Toffee and and bread flavors have a touch of smoke in the finish.

Not much oomph for a Scottish ale... Would enjoy a heartier flavor!! Skfjkdkdkkdjjdjdjidehebebbdicnbeibrbdojd -&# via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle picked up at ’Jacks’ Westholme Store, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, consumed at Mums, Worcester, Thames, Friday 28th November 2014. Pours dark brown with light beige head. Huge toffee flavours dominate, lots of bitter sticky bonfire toffee. Yes this is sticky and warming with the alcohol noticeable but to be fair it is far from harsh. It is soft in the mouth a little creamy, really pleasant. Far easier to drink than you’d think. Nice, in fact it works well it is really nice if a tad one dimensional. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Toasty, sweet and warming. Bittersweet toffee after taste in the back of the throat. A beast. Is there any real difference between a Scotch Ale and a Wee Heavy? I’ve tried most of available contenders. Whatever, this brew rocks and will occupy a space in my frig through the winter until it is dethroned.

12 oz bottle shared from Total Wine & More - Gilbert, AZ. Lightly smoky, rich and malty with notes of caramel, toffee, earth and peat. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Medium to full body with a nice balanced finish. Pretty easy to drink, but a nice one to sip on. Well done.

AKORN (204) - Virginia, USA - NOV 26, 2014
Hazy reddish brown in color with no head. Sweet, malt, alcohol aroma. Starts bold then fades nicely. Good sweetness and bitterness, taste a bit like a Belgian. The alcohol I smelt is also in the taste, hard to look past this. Good beer
