COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer ďainít fer the wee ladsĒ

Sweet, bread-like, with a little bitter at the end. I didnít like it that much at first but the second time around was waaay better! The bitter finish seemed not so bitter and I evened the flavors much more.

BeerViking (3809) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2016
Dark reddish-brown with a big tan head, aromas of lightly burnt toffee, a hint of smoke and a touch of yeast. Rich and initially sweet, with a syrupy texture, then a dry bitterness cuts in, along with a toasty edge. Mid-body and finish are still sweet but with the alcohol and bitterness cutting away the cloying edge. More balanced than one might expect!

Pours very dark brown, with ample tan head. Aroma of malts. Taste is rich and malty, not too sweet. A good solid scotch ale, thumbs up.

Bottle. Strangely, Iíve never rated this til now... and itís even stranger given that the BA version of this is one of my favorite annual treats. Anyhow, deep Amber-brownish pour, medium tan head. Nose is malty, candy sugar, maple, toffee, butterscotch, tobacco, fragrant wood. Mouth is medium bodied, sweetness giving over to bitterness and then to toasted oakiness, caramel, nutty, pumpernickel, raisins. Tasty brew. SlŠinte.
