I’ve been wanting some Founders, because they are rated highly and some of their brews sound delicious...but this one wasn’t it. Very nice and complex aroma and appearance, full of roasty malts, carmel, hops, and smoke. But taste wise is where this one fell apart for me. Tastes thick in some places, thin in others. Very sticky and syrupy on the back end, and the alcohol seemed to get int he way of the flavor. Almost tasted like someone threw several different brews into a blender, topped off with orange juice, vodka, and maple syrup, mixed and served. Not my cup of tea, but I can’t wait to try some of Founder’s other brews. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

Smelled a bit like smokey honey. Taste was sweet roasted caramel, malts and grass. I enjoyed this one immensely. MiP (9045), Sønderborg, Denmark
