Commercial Description:
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Shared a bottle with 3 others. Nice reddish brown color. Tastes a bit like a Heath bar, only not as sweet or chocolatey.

Ruby red color with a cream colored head leaving spotty lacing around the glass. Toffee, brown sugar, malted milk balls in the nose. Malted milk balls up front followed by toffee in the finish, only a bit of hop presence. Average carbonation and medium bodied. Wasn’t very drinkable, split the bottle. Perhaps I will try it again to see if I got a bad bottle or if I will like it better.

Really beautiful pour- brown with amber highlights and two fingers of tan head. Strong grainy aroma with notes of smoke, peat, caramel, and molasses. Flavor is also grain and peat, with hints of sweet caramel, floral hops, strawberry, and some nice nuttiness and smoke in the finish. Thick sticky palate.

Deep chestnut in color with minimal white head. Banana bread aroma gets solventy as it warms, and carries through into the flavor. Roasty and bitter with a burnt caramel edge. Biterness lingers after finish. $2.5/12oz

Bottle pours a dark garnet with a tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, smokey peat and a wiff of alcohol. Flavor long on that rich smokey note with a mix of caramel/toffee /brown sugar, earthy finish with a warming alcohol influence.

Very dark brown body with a very small head. Lots of chocolate malt and a bit of booze on the bouquet. Tons of chocolate flavor as well.
