Commercial Description:
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

on tap at the oasis in rockford. tan head, very light body that was very well balanced. A very smooth dark ale with no biterness. Excellent caramel taste.

12oz bottle, courtesy of someone from a while back. Pours a murky brown color; minimal head formation with a thin perimeter of small bubbles. Dense, caramel and dried fruits in the aroma. Medium, chewy mouthfeel: caramel and bubble gum upfront (slightly fruity, a bit syrupy), with some smoke and roasted malts; hides its alcohol reasonably well. Decent scotch ale. Lengthy, sugary and roasted malt finish.

Fruity, slightly diacetyl aroma. Ruby brown. Plummy, almost barleywine. Slightly chalky mouth. Very light cocoa. On tap, McNivens, Indianapolis.

Bottle. Pours a clear red body with nice head. Aroma is smokey malt, bubblegum, caramel. Flavor is a dry sweet malt, caramel, light bubblegum and a lot of smokiness. Nice full bodied brew. Very enjoyable.

This is a great beer. Pours a toffee-brown color with a small white head. Has a nice malty, caramel aroma and the mouth feel on this is great; smooth, fairly thick and just overall wonderful. Starts out fairly tame with some roasted malt, caramel, and toffee notes and finishes with a decent smoky bite. Will definitely seek out again.

Poured a deep reddish brown with little head. Tastes of chocolate, malt, and a nice smooth finish. Very tasty.
