Commercial Description:
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

12 oz bottle. great malt smell. Beautiful deep red-brown color. Strong, sweet malt flavor puctuated by caramel flavor that this style is famous for. Subdues alcohol bite. Just enough hops to balnce the alcohol and malt flavors. I will be drinking more of this

Draft - Dark copper color with average head and nice lacing. You can really taste the carmel and peat in this one. Nice after taste that sticks with you for a while. Will drink this one again. My wife didn’t appreciate, but she only likes the fruity beers. On tap at Cascarelli’s in Homer, MI.

Pours pretty cloudy and settles out into a medium tan head that faded pretty quick. Smell is pretty goo, a little light, but the fruits and sweetness are there again. Taste is damn good. I guess I love me some scotch ales.

Bottle. clear ruby/copper color with a small head. Aroma of toffee and brown sugar. Taste is ’teeth hurting ’ sweet; toffee, caramel, nutty with some spicy hops. Medium to heavy body. Sticky with alcohol texture. Long, sweet finish.

Cloudy reddish brown color with decent off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma of molasses, toffee and dark fruits. Flavor similar to aroma with some added dry nuttiness. Alcohol is slightly more apparent than I would expect.
