Commercial Description:
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Pours a deep reddish-brownish color with a small head. Whoa! this actually smells like scotch! Smoky and peaty with some mild honey notes, dammit this smells good Flavor has good notes of scotch whisky with some very good hoppiness, some apple, some cherry, and some pronounced but delicious alcohol notes.

Dark brown with hints of red in color, little head. Hints of malt in the aroma. Sweet, rich malt flavor, hints of caramel. Medium-heavy body, dry finish. I prefer this beer on tap.

Bottle @ Hj Hansen, Odense. Pours unclear dark amber with a small creamy and lasting head. Nose is sweet of toffee, caramel and dark fruits with alcohol and chewing gum in the back. Smooth and sticky palate. Warmth and has a good level of vinousness. Nice.

Bottled. Aroma has caramel, butterscotch, raisins. Hazy, brown coloured beer with a lasting, off-white head. The taste is sweet, caramel malty with butterscotch. Sweetness is not too overwhelming. Balance is okay. Just a little siruppy. Has some hoppiness. Enjoyable brew.

Reddish-brown in appearance. Sweet, but not syrupy. A little anise and caramel malts. Slight whiskey or scotch on the palate. Very nice!
