Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Marko (3896) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - JUN 5, 2014
Bottle from Svijet Piva. Shared with the Croat & Slovak crews. Yay! Poured a dark amber-red body with an off white head. Malty aroma, honey, alcohol, slightly sticky. Dry malty taste, not nearly as sweet as expected, slightly creamy but bitter, light herbal notes, raisins, good, but not as good as I’d expected.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. I nearly always have one of these in the cellar. I never get to rate it, mind you, because its the Missus’s favourite, and she always beats me to it. Except today. And the verdict is, she’s very discerning...

Crazy good beer. Bottle from Fry's Grocery. Pours deep amber with thin tan head. Tastes of malt and dried fruit. Delicious. Hops are subtler than 50 IBU's suggests.

Bottle. Amber-copper color with a light tan head. Really tasty beer. Aroma was caramel, candy corn. Taste is sweet caramel with a slight hoppy finish.

Bottle into a DFH Ale signature glass-- Pours a dark mahogany with very little head. Has a somewhat sweet smell maybe dark fruits? First thing I tasted was booze (not complaining), yep booze with a slight Scotch ale flavor coming through at the end and than alcohol at the back of the tongue and throat to finish it off. This is a little different than the other Scotch Ales I’ve had but it is good and it will be interesting to see how many I can put away tonight.

Pours a nice brown color with off-white head. Sweetness, bourbon, caramel malt, and earth on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with an earthy tone.
