COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

8.5%ABV. Scotch Ale. Poured out dark brown amber. 18° SRM. Nose. Roasted nuts and caramel. There are also aromas of port, flan, brandied cherries, rum raisin, Christmas cake or rum cake. There is also a rich and very pleasant spiciness to the nose with nutmeg and cinnamon. Palate is highly complex with sweet flavors of molasses, brown sugar, maple syrup, manuka honey predominating. There is a nice hop balance to this monster with flavors that are spicy representing Thai basil, cilantro and parsley. Overall, this one came onto the palate very much like Mike Myers’ character, brash, obvious, pushy, a little smelly and breathtakingly crude, but dig a little deeper and you find that it’s all just a cover for some very fine, genteel and almost painfully subtle sensory experiences. I loved this one so much I almost "feel a turtle head pokin’ out!" Goes on Favorites List!
