Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

So I found this at my local beer store and with the name of Dirty Bastard I had to buy it. Dark black with no head. Smooth as hell but where’s the alcohol, oh there it is...SHIMMY SHIMMY YA SHIMMY YAM SHIMMY YAY

Smells of malt and caramel malt mix with a strong boost sent. The color is dark amber to a brown color. The flavor is quite multi with a slight boozy flavor nice caramel through the flavor with slight booze at the end. Flushes over your tongue quick with a nice warming goddess booze flavor. Nice blue from founders definitely different on my palate not used to it would like to try more pussy flavoured beers.

Karamel og lidt ristet i smagen. Den har en lidt tør sødme der falder godt i det med resten.

Sweet cherry or almond aroma. Little bit of typical scotch ale flavor. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle into snifter. Pours a dark burgundy with minimal white head which clears quickly. Nose is nice and malty. Taste is malt, caramel, toast, some coffee, hops are there. Medium light mouthfeel. Medium light carb. I prefer the backwoods version but this is still great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap, Ashley’s, Ann Arbor, MI. Translucent amber brown. Sweet molasses and prune aroma. Thick, though not syrupy. Some cocoa and maple syrup. Hint of smoke. Sweet finish with slight hop spice.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Amber brown color; tan head. Aroma is faintly sweet, some caramel and raisins. Taste: caramel, smoke, oak, dark fruit, roasted malt, alcohol. Nice to drink on a cool evening.

Pours a pleasant mahogany color with a thin oatmeal colored head. Not a big aroma but notes of caramel, funk, candy and prune are wafting in my glass. A mouthful yields caramel malt, bittersweet fruit, toast and a light finish of bitter hop.

Aroma: sweet, some chocolate mixed with fruit; Appearance: beautiful dark, clear ale with ruby tones, pillowy head; Taste: full body with flavors of smoke, caramel, alcohol and coffee; very complex and well balanced; Palate: thick texture, significant carbonation with nice lacing; finish is sweet and malty; Overall: delicious, complex, lovely. Would definitely buy again.
