Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer ďainít fer the wee ladsĒ

Great caramelized smell. Thick head. Dark amber appearance. Odd balance of malt and hops...slightly too malt. Tastes like burnt wood, but its good.

Bottle from the roommate. Pour is so dark amber brown/red I can barley see through it. Head dissipated after a few minutes but was had thin lacing and about half a finger. Aroma of caramel, malt, prune juice, rootbeer, cranberries, and licorice. Very interesting nose.medium light body. I too get a nutty, fruity toffee flavor that is sweet in the front and boozy in the back. Kinda like the mullet of beer. Favorite scoth ale right now.

Bottle from SuperBest Amaír Foodmarket, Copenhagen - dark brown coloured pour with beige head. Medium sweet malty aroma and taste, toasty, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, dried fruity and nutty, some spices on the palate, good mouthfeel, nice boozy finish. Quality brew.

You can always count on Founders to deliver a great beer experience and this brew is definitely no exception! Pours a dark ruby brown color with a big head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is complex (a portent of things to come) with cherry, toffee, and other rich notes. Taste is extremely complex, though I donít perceive any smokiness, there are a broad range of notes- nuts, dried fruits, toffee, and some burnt hints towards the end (but in a great way). This is a "warmer" beer, with a bit of booziness to it that is very subtle (and cozy on a cold rainy night!) Itís advertised as Founders flagship brew, I can no doubt understand why. This is a superb beer, and definitely the best scotch ale Iíve ever had.

Really nice caramel aroma, along with tight head and brown amber color. This tasted really malty but despite its malty sweetnes, which was wonderful, it finished nice and dry. Not cloying whatsoever. Perfect balance of this malt forward brew.

Bottle from a shop in Sao Paulo. The dirty bastard is dark red brown colored with a smooth tan head. It is a very malty ale with caramel, toffee and smoke aroma as well as the expected alcohol and some roastiness. Sweet taste with some fruity-hoppiness in the finish. The body is strong and thick as it should be with a warm alcoholic finish.

Pours dark brown with decent head. At first didnít get a lot of flavor, but complexity started to show as beer warmed up a bit. Taste of raosted malts predominate. I didnít notice any smoke. Very enjoyable.

This beer had everything you want from a scotch ale. Think, smoky a bit of hops and a nice kick. Love it
