COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer ďainít fer the wee ladsĒ

The aroma is fresh baked bread with toffee cookies baking. It pours a deep rich red amber. Starts off a sweet, candy like flavor. It has a nice balance of hops and malts to keep its well balanced. It has a sharp coffee/bitter finish. Its very complex and a great beer. I would have liked it more if it did not have as bitter of a finish.

35,5cl bottle from Drink Shop, Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy deep ruby to copper coloured with a fairly modest, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, malt and hints of wood. Sweet, very sweet, but still surprisingly drinkable and surprisingly tasty. Usually I wouldnít be a big fan of beers like this, but somehow it works. It is somehow balanced and itís surprisingly smooth and drinkable.

Pours deep brown with decent head. The aroma is an array of caramels: toffee, burnt caramel, molasses. Flavour is deep and rich like a good scotch ale should be. Sweet, syrupy caramel. Delicious! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the Birmingham Beer Bash, 2015. Poured a hazy dark brown with a round off white head. The aroma is rich alcoholic fruit, malt. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a big sweet chewy malt, spicy, Black Forest gateaux, toffee caramel, heart warming palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

12 oz bottle. Clear dark reddish brown, with a thin tan head and little lace.
Aroma is malty, caramel, smoke, peat and a touch of yeast.
Flavor is sweet, caramel, smoke, with a touch of yeast and a light hop bitterness. The bottle was 10 months old, so it might be past itís prime. Need a fresher example to re-rate.

Bottle possibly just past the best before. Pours burnt red/brown with a thin cream head. Aroma is heavy on Vegemite, not much else coming through. Taste is Vegemite, wheetbix and scotch. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, not at all thin. I donít love this beer but itís certainly drinkable and very sessionable for its 8.5%.

Bottle to tulip. Hazy copper pour with about a finger of eggshell white head. A decent amount of lacing. Aroma is fairly mild - caramel, dried fruit, a little resin. Flavor follows - caramel, raisins, candied fruit, and a little pine and booze to balance it out. Definitely not hiding the ABV.

Bottle into tulip. Ruby brown w tan head that does not stick around. Mild aroma of sweet raisin and fig. Full sweet taste similar to aroma but more pronounced. Some bitterness. Can't taste the peat. Good scotch ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
