COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

12oz bottle. Pours a beautiful brown with deep amber tones. Plenty of foam and lace. Giving off a lot of bready malts, toffee, alcohol, and a little herbal hops. Great smooth taste, with plenty of caramel, warm alcohol and a bitter finish. Plenty to chew on with this beer. Just what I need on this dreary February day.

Clear, intensely deep red colour with thick and creamy light brown head. Great aroma, plenty of malty sweetness, syrup, caramel and some toast. Pleasant taste, also has strong malty flavour, ends in a bit of hoppy bitterness. Mouthfeel is slick, oily, low in carbonation. Great tasting beer, very rich in flavour, highly enjoyable.

355ml bottle. Reddish/brown colour. Minimal carbonation and head in my bottle (BB 02/07/16). Aroma of cocoa, syrup, caramel. Taste very sweet with light bitterness and umami? I think it is present here in the aftertaste. The flavour is excellent, I suspect though that the stated ingredients are not the only ones in this brew.

Beer has a nice taste and aroma and the after taste is not that bad. Overall an okay beer but nothing special ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From notes: Bottle from Alko. Thick malty body, a bit sweet, alcohol and caramel flavor. Not much hoppiness, just a lot of malts, alcohol. Strong and complex.

BOTTLE 12 OZ. Clear ruby, beige head. The aroma is quite simple - caramel dominated, some malty and spicy notes. The taste is similar, with lots of caramel (but not at all sticky), a strong peppery bitterness with toasted bread notes. Just a touch of alcohol and a smooth easy drinking body. Nice, even though a bit too simple.

Malt, karamell, sötma, humle. Mörk röd öl med ett smutsvitt skum som länge lämnar rester i glaset. Riktigt trevlig öl! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear caramel brown, greasy bubbly thin head. Nose is big smoked brown sugar and oddly floral malt. Initial taste is a straightforward latch of tinny molasses, soft pepper and frozen choc. Carbonation is a formality and mouthfeel is clingy. Finishes a cooling gulp of soft roast, caramel brownie and lingers a brazen spicy sweetness.

Never really telling of the ABV but never really gripping enough. Amazed I’ve not rated it before now.

Dark amber color with ruby hues, tan head. Aroma has sweet roasted malts, some dark fruits and a bit of booze. Taste starts sweet with caramel malt and cherries, a bit of roasted character and some hoppy bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation, slightly boozy. Not bad but it’s a bit boozy for my taste and also the hops don’t really mix well with the sweet malts.

A dark red full-bodied ale, with a solid malty caramel aroma, and a malt and spicy hop flavour. Somewhat pungent taste, with medium sweetness and bitterness. Overall, a beautiful, smooth and well-balanced ale.

Aroma: Peanuts, Caramel & Hops Appearance: Dark Golden Red. Taste: Similar to the nose: Peanuts, Caramel, a Hops opening & Malt finish.. Palate: Minimal Carbonation, Silky Smooth. Overall: Excellent example. A robust introduction and a silky smooth finish.
