Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Poured from a bottle. Cloudy brown amber with a foamy tan head that dissipates into a thin cap. Aroma is very sweet - toffee, brown sugar, dark ripe fruit and toasty malts. Taste starts medium high sweet and transitions to a slight bitterness for the finish, also slightly dry in the finish. Body is smooth yet has a bit a prickly carbonation. One of my favorite Founder’s beers.

Kevyempi kuin imperial stout, mutta makua löytyy. Hieman viinainen jälkimaku, ei häiritsevä.

Nocturne (1709) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2016
Keg at Common, Manchester. Hazy brown shade. Thin head. Big candy-ish fruity notes, tobacco and sticky maltiness all the way through. Quite an earthiness to it as well. Good example of the style.

Hints of caramel, chocolate and smoke. Creamy head. Medium sweet taste. Relatively light body considering ABV. Soft carbonation. Bitter finish.

Farbe: Dunkles rot-braun, erinnert an Kirschsaft, heller wenig beständiger Schaum.

Erst leicht süß, dann schnell radikal whiskeyscharf. Der Nachhall alkoholisch wärmend und vielfältig. Schwer!!! Honig!!! Wenig Hopfen!!!! On Tap in der CRAFT BEER BAR Hannover.25cl/4,40Euro.

Butterscotch, jam, raisins, alcohol, a whiff of wet dog, light coffee, and caramel. Ruby colour, medium beige head, lacing. Heavy sweetness, medium bite, lightly salty. Malt forward, yet it packs a hop punch. More Than usual for the style, ABV well hidden. Fullbodied, soft carbonation, oily feel, salty, sweet and warming finish. Good example of an American take on the style.

Oscbert (1226) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 10, 2016
Strong malty aroma, caramel, toffee, bread, raisin, smoke. Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown color with small off white head Smoke more prevelant in flavor, woody, char, raisin, toffee. A bit bitter. Medium full body with medium low co2, lingering woody bitterness in finish. Aroma smells great. The flavor is a bit bitter in my opinion. I like sweeter scotch ales. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
