COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Nice mild aromas from caramel to vanilla with a little bit of spice. Beautiful Amber color, exactly what you would want from a scotch ale. Nice bitter taste when it hits the palate, as you get the finish a good peat taste overall well pleased

This is a good example of a style I don’t care for. Scottish ale are too sweet for me.

On tap, poured into a shaker-like glass. The aroma is raisin, fig, cherry, caramel, and bread. It pours an oily looking, raisin brown. The head is tan in color and sudsy, but reduces down to a clear, clean surface, clean ring, and clean glass. The taste is a good balance between medium sweet and medium bitter. The oily texture has a medium high body, and a light, small bubble carbonation. The finish has flavors of coffee, fig, cherry, chocolate, caramel, toast, and cookies. The aftertaste is relatively clean.

Pours clean with a caramel chocolate aroma and a rich red/brown hue. Slightly hazy on the pour but quickly clears. The taste mirrors the aroma with rich caramel and light chocolate flavors which have a fruity finish due to the high alcohol level. Full body and thick with average carbonation and a long finish

Love this one. Very beautiful red-caramel color in glass with beige head. Aroma of caramel and maybe cherry or fig. Tastes like malt, burnt caramel. Very drinkable. A favorite and staple in our house.

Draft at Founders. Pours a dark ruby color. Aroma and taste are caramel, malts, and is very easy to drink.

Bottled. Pours a deep rich caramel color with little head. Aroma is rich caramel, toffee, and of course a scotch. Flavor is tofee, vanilla, caramel, bready maltiness. Slightly bitter finish along with a smoke and oakiness. Warm sort of booziness but pleasant.

slight yellow head, fades with with some lacing. dark brown colour. aroma is caramel, sweet, oxidized, barleywine like, dried fruits, raisins, boozy, figs. taste like aroma but finish is bitter and ends very wry like from burnt raisins (krenten) or burnt sugar. quite dense and viscous pour, soft carbonation. the aftertaste spoiled it for me, pitty. bottle 35.5cl
