Pours brown with a tan head. Lots of caremel malt in the aroma and taste. The hops show up right off the bat with some flowery bitterness, but fade and the sweetness comes through in the end. Good stuff.

Dec 3, 2008 Taste 12/8 Bottle. Looks... Dark and clear with a little lacing of the head. Aroma: Malt peat smoke and a little dark fruit. Taste: MMMM..Really good. Mostly malts. Some smoke earthy and a little fruit. Can not taste the alcohol.

Nov 29, 2008 (10/20/08) Bottle at Tria in Philadelphia. Dark brown color with a beige head, Aroma of rather smoky malt, some dark fruit notes, some nutty hints and caramel. Sweet flavor, slightly smoky, with artichoke notes, some fruits and a bit of toastiness. Medium to full-bodied. A nice Scotch Ale.

Nov 26, 2008 (11.22.08) 12 oz. bottle: Pours a dark amber with very little light brown head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts and alcohol. Flavor is malty and sweet, with some caramel. Rich, creamy mouthfeel. Solid Scotch ale.

Nov 21, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured fairly clear dark amber in color with a very nice brown head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of white bread toast, lightly sweet malt. Tastes of light toffee, chocolate, dark fruits. Alcohol seemed to be hidden quite well. Not bad.
