COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

This beer poured a hazy reddish brown color and formed light tan foamy head that left circular lace as it subsided. A medium amount of carbonation and some sediment is present. A complex aroma of malt, caramel, raisins and other dark fruit. Not as heavy an aroma as others, but more in the mix if you will. The flavor was of malt, caramel, slight bit of chocolate and a hint of raisin. A slightly lighter body than I would expect for this style and slightly sweet finish. The alcohol is well hidden in this one. Also best if had at cellar temp or just slightly cooler to help draw out more of it's character

Tawny to dark brown in colour with a small head with no retention, heavy complex aroma roasted malts, caramel and grains, hints of herbs and grass, boozy flavour, heavy on roasted malts and caramel, warming sensation average carbonation yet lively in the mouth, slick, Pow what an experience great ale.

A nice strong ale that doesn’t totally taste of alcohol. Bitter and peaty for sure. Mildly sweet and nutty. Not bad.

Bottle, 355 ml from Svijet Piva, Zagreb. Pours hazy brown with a small head. Dried fruits, caramel, liquorice, toffee. Sweet. Has alcohol note which I disliked. Can’t say I’m thrilled with this one.

skmikeg (999) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Pours a mahogany-ruby red with one finger tan head which fades to pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of toffee, caramel, sweet malts, smoke, bread pudding, toasted bread, butterscotch, and brown sugar. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma with the addition of some light grassy and piney hops. Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, slightly dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty, complex, well balanced scotch ale that is overly sweet like a lot of beer is the style.

couleur brun-rouge; petite mousse brune; arômes fruités et maltés; goût un peu vineux; un peu trop d’alcool et de douceur

Wine color red with a thick tan foam. Deep malt aromatics of toast and biscuit. There is a slight raisin that hides away. Light carbonation but medium/full body. Toffee and and bread flavors have a touch of smoke in the finish.

Not much oomph for a Scottish ale... Would enjoy a heartier flavor!! Skfjkdkdkkdjjdjdjidehebebbdicnbeibrbdojd -&# via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle picked up at ’Jacks’ Westholme Store, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, consumed at Mums, Worcester, Thames, Friday 28th November 2014. Pours dark brown with light beige head. Huge toffee flavours dominate, lots of bitter sticky bonfire toffee. Yes this is sticky and warming with the alcohol noticeable but to be fair it is far from harsh. It is soft in the mouth a little creamy, really pleasant. Far easier to drink than you’d think. Nice, in fact it works well it is really nice if a tad one dimensional. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2014 Bottle from Bacchus Wine, Olney. Hazy chocolate brown. Heavy scent if molasses, caramel, toast. Gooey sweet malty taste, followed by a bittersweet finish. Very nice but less memorable than Founders best beers.
