3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 cmr1517 (35) - New Haven, Indiana, USA - MAY 22, 2007UPDATED: FEB 14, 2008 Pours dark red. medium thickness. Has a great malt and caramal aroma. Its very smooth and transitional beer leaving you with a great aftertaste. Alcohol is noticeable. Overall it was something I will buy again. Re rate it is amazing how your taste changes. I remember this beer to be pretty powerful when i began to taste and rate beers and now I find it to be not as bold, but still one of my fav.

Bottle. Rich, earthy aroma; pours dark amber with a decent head. Very rich, full flavor - slightly sweet, caramel, roasted malt and a bit woody. Very full feel in the mouth - lots of body; nice effervescence and a smooth, just slightly bitter aftertaste. Very nice beer.

From the get go, you smell caramel, sweet citrus, malty aroma, dark brown appearance, citrus taste almost a hint of orange/lemon, very floral, the hoppy aftertaste is great. Impressive beer!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 jd543 (152) - SCOTLAND - JUN 15, 2013
Deep ruby red/brown colour with a thin beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, cereal, very light hoppiness. Taste is sweet at first with a peaty/smokey whisky like finish. Oily texture, medium body. A fairly average beer - gets a couple of extra points for the smokey finish which makes it a little bit interesting.

Draft at Draught 55. Pours dark amber with a thick tan head. Good lacing. Aroma is of smoke, peat and malts with a bit of hops. Taste is slightly smokey, just the right amount, peat, and a well balanced mix of malts and hops. Really nice finish. I really liked this one.

I heard some nonsense today, articulately put but flawed and abusive at heart. I heard some things that made me laugh and inspired me. Then Stephen Lewis made me cry in a packed auditorium. Moving, emotional, distressing, inspirational. I’m in awe of the man.

12oz bottle. Pours dense, dark amber, almost opaque, with a small off-white head. Aroma sweet caramel barley, alcohol notes. Flavor a bit sweet then flat. Overall unobjectionable.

Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Poured a very pretty deep garnet with a thin head. Label says 50 ibu, but those are all on the very backend on the palate. Very drinkable.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Hopsclation (26) - Chicago, - JUN 4, 2013
Tastes like carmalized brown sugar mixed into a hoppy raspberry plum sauce. The hops make it a very american take on a scotch ale, but if you like hops then what is the problem with that? One of my favorite session beers
