first rater, nice. draft from the brewpub. deep dark plum red. clear. almost no head. malt is clear, but the overriding aroma is probably cardamom. now i’ve never had cardamom (that i know of), so the closest thing i can describe this aroma to is as a minty ginger. kinda like the hitachino gingerr the great lakes chrstmas. pretty appetizing and refreshing, and that’s without me ven having tasted it yet. taste is immediatelyt flat, clean, and alcoholi. tastes largely like it smells other than those descriptors. absolutely nothing scotch ale about this.. my god, it’s so alcoholic tasting. thank god i got the 12oz.
