I drank this side by side with a Hopslam and both were great. The pour was an orangish copper pour with a finger thick foamy off white head that lasted a while. Aroma was definite citrus hops with more grapefruit than orange. Not much malt noticeable here. Flavor was great. Intense hop profile with almost no sign of maltiness at all. The flavor reminded me of a slightly less intense version of Pliny the Younger. Very strong intense hop flavor.

On draft at the Brass Rail in Hummelstown, poured cloudy golden color with a good carbonation and one finger head. Awesome hop aroma hits you at first and the flavor is citrus/piney hoppy which melts into bitterness. This was excellent, just a nice blend of hops and malt without an overwhelming bitterness.

Hazy gold with a rich white head. Nose is ultra grapefruit, a little sweet malt, a little sweat. Biting nose, but not very complex. The same is true with the flavor, but even more bitter, almost caustic citrus against grain and slight malt. Palate is a little short and quite bitter, definitely carbonated. Founders seems to have difficulty taking risks yet still does not succeed while staying within the lines.

pours a deep shiny golden color with just a touch of orange tint. Strong grapefruit/citrus aroma. mouthfeel is fairly thick just a touch of sweetness followed by a big hop bite and then lingering bitterness. Thanks for the bottle, NobleSquirrel...I only wish there was another in my fridge...

Pours very pale brassy copper for a IIPA. Medium head, nice lacing. Profound aroma; tropical fruits and flowers, hemp (nudge, nudge). Flavor is pure deliciousness. Just a whisper of honeyed sweetness up front gets scrubbed aside by a delicious cascade of fruity, floral, cedar-y hops.

Bottle. Aroma citrusy/tropical (orange peel, lime, pineapple), doughy malt. Flavor bursting with bitter, juicy hops, really an explosion of all sorts of lively fruits from nose to mouth to finish, and very high on the bitterness without much astringency. Really nice.

12oz bottle from drewbeerme, side by side with Hopslam. Hazy yellow pour compared to the clear gold of the Hopslam, both had nice white heads. Grassy citrusy aroma, much more so than the Hopslam (not muck aroma at all really in this sample at least). Slightly sweet with a big hop kick in the whole thing, much more so than the Bells, which was good, but the honey cut the hop flavor too much. Both good brews, but I give the edge to DT.

What a label. On tap at the Vintage Estates, nice place. This was right off the bottom of the keg, this glass kicked it. Bubbling beer shooting experience. Plenty of foam, settles attractively. Aroma of pine tree sap or crunched up pine needles, very prominent. Slightly hazy pale yellow. No carbonation on the tongue. Bitter oily soapy tasting task. Way too much personality for this lager lover. Long lingering medicinal big hoppy finish WEW. Rudeness maximus. On style, heheheh, for style I give it 10/10.
