An imperial IPA that was brewed to turn your world upside down. Hops have got you coming and going. Pungent aromatics up front paired with a malt balanced backbone and a smooth bitter finish. 86 IBUs.

12 oz bottle. Was Interested in this after having Founders Centennial IPA, so an I-IPA is even more interesting to me. Pours a beautiful hazy light golden color with a small white head that dies quickly. Smells of citrus (lemon or grapefruit I believe), and some hops. Tastes of some citrus and light hops, bit of caramel; not too much flavor to this one though. Not that full-bodied, but does leave a citrus aftertaste. Decent, not great. For the price equivalence, Hopslam is much better.

Hazy headless orange/yellow. Aroma is citrus and pith, but not too strong. Taste is pithy and resinous which lingers well after the finish. Solid IIPA, but not astounding. $3/12oz

My Million Beer March Tasting. Sample from a bottle thanks to nearbeer. Clear yellow orange with a thin white cover. Big spicy grapefruit hop aroma. Taste is the same, grapefruit, light pine spice and a perfect caramel base.

Poured pale yellow with a white head. Pine hops and grapefruit aroma. Alcohol burn right up front, but it mellows as you go along. Sweet to start with some grapefruit and malt and the bitterness becomes more apparent as it warms. I am not usually a big fan of IPA’s, but this one is very good.

Pours a light gold, woth a greenish (?) tint. Thin foamy head. Very nice hop dominated aroma, as one might expect. Woodsy, resiny hop dominate the flavor, with just a hint of sweetness to balance it out. Very tasty.

Bottle, courtesy northernbrews. Pours a very lightly hazy, glowing golden-orange color. A dense, frothy, off-white head lasts for a good while, leaving sticky swaths of honeycomb lacing behind. The nose gives off a big toffee malt base, with grainy wheat underpinnings and traces of honey. Big lemon and grapefruit bitterness is accompanied by some floral, orange blossom notes. The flavor is a little boozy, with alcohol cutting through the toffee and getting in the way of the huge floral-citrus hops. Lightly peppery on the finish, with lingering citrus bitterness. The palate is big and well carbonated, but boozy and somewhat astringent. I’ve read about the comparisons or assumed "rivalry" between this beer and Hopslam. To me, they’re not even in the same league. Hopslam destoys this beer.

Pours a hazy golden color with a thick 1 finger head. Wonderful hoppy nose. Very hoppy with a subdued malt backbone. The 9.4% abv is hidden VERY well. Nice Brussels lace all the way down the glass. An excellent double IPA.

Very citrus-y in both aroma and flavor, very much reminded me of grapefruit.
