Appearance: Pours a cloudy amber gold, with only a tad bit of white suds gathering at the top. Aroma: My first thoughts were "Bell’s Hopslam", which is a good thing in my book. Sugary scents of mandarin orange and tangerine are all I can smell. Taste: Sweet malts and bitter, piny hops at first. After that first hit of sweet and bitter, I get a mouthful of grapefruit, rock candy sugar and bitterness lining my inner cheeks. The flavors don’t linger as long as I would like it, which invites the next sip. Mouthfeel: Rather thin for an Imperial IPA, but the viscosity is on par for an aggressive IPA. Overall: Great aroma, great taste, a little thin on the mouthfeel, great ABV. This is a great beer, even if it is on the thin side.

Slightly golden with a fluffy white head. Real fresh, crisp hop aroma with a nice grapefruit sweetness. Malty sweetness on the tongue and really well-hidden alcohol. Excellent beer!

Pours light copper with a large rocky white head. Strong, slightly sweet/herbaceous aroma of pine, basil, mint, and caramel. Flavor is grassy upfront, a bit herbal, slightly sweet mid-palate, and zesty/bitter towards the finish. Palate is medium bodied and bitter-sweet, with a somewhat velvety mouth feel. .Fairly straight-forward DIPA, and very well-balanced

Great hoopy floral aroma hits your senses right as you open the bottle. Golden yellow pour with a lasting white head. A little sweet, you can definately taste hops, but nothing overbearing, a well balanced beer. The alcohol isn’t noticeable. Lacing appears on the glass from top to bottom. Very excellant beer. Have yet to meet a bad Founders. Another reason to go to Michagan this Summer.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of sweet citrus and grapefruit hops. Flavor is similarly citrus-y with some grassy hops initially and a orange zest kick in the finish. A very nice double IPA, not heavy or syrupy in the slightest. Well constructed. 8/4/9/4/16 (4.1/5)

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy pale straw gold with a big white head and some small tight bubbles. Nose is full of sweet hops, lots of pine resin too. Flavors are nice florals and some citrus. Not too aggressive in flavor profile. This could be because it is not fresh? Mouth is very smooth mild bitter finish to it. Alcohol seeks up on you some! This was a pretty good drink. Nothing like the hop bombs that I have recenlty had to pleasure of. I would like to try this again supper fresh before I give my final opinion. Definitely above average.

Bottle thanks to 17thfloor, the badass, the crazy man, the coolest guy for bringing the beers that he did to Belgium. Was that enough? Hazy yellow with orange tint, white medium creamy head. Aroma is sweet citrus with grapey, floral, light biscuit malt and subtle alc. Sweeter grapey, citrus, green bitterness , a little alc, wheat, lemon. Medium to light body with light carbonation. A little astringent in the bitterness and alc but I really enjoy a new take on the IIPA style. Good job Founders.

On tap at the Brass Rail- Hazy gold with white simmering head. Hops and citrus/pine bold with a flora on the pallet leaves it dancing. The ABV and different hop layers are a nice blend. Rather dry finish.

Cloudy yellowish color, thin white head that leaves decent head. Citrus hoppy aroma. Orange peel and hop flavor with piney hints. Smooth start with a biting carbonated and bitter finish. Average IPA.
