Bottle courtesy of Jason. Good citrus lights up the nose and says man this is a good beer. Copper body with white head and medium lacing. Dry bittering in the flavor but also some citrus oranges/ grapefruits. Citrus vine dry resin left on palate. Much like pliny the younger jast had over the weekend. Thanks Jason.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber colour with a thin white head and no real lacing. Aroma is mostly piney hops and some sweet oranges. Flavour is like biting into a grapefruit rind followed by some sweet pink grapefruit hops. Bitterness in the finish combined with a little alcohol heat might actually make your lip tingle a little. Well done.

12 oz. Golden with a small ring of bubbles. Aroma of resin, grapefruit, caramel and light urea. Flavor is a nice mix of the same, with more grapefruit. Light medium body is hop-dry, tingly and crisp.

Bonus bottle from JB175, thanks Jason! As vibrant and flavorful as if on tap - was worried, too, as the cap came off WAY too easy. Aroma is surprisingly mellow - only the lightest of hops and minerals. Flavor is dandycane, being bright hops, a creamy texture, and having a crisp finish. Hops are grassy with slight lemon and a minute pineapple. Very very great.

12 oz. bottle as a single from Three Cellars (Franklin, WI). Pours a nice standard golden amber, well hazed, with moderate offwhite head that settles to a decent amount and laces well. Aromas are are heavy on nice citrusy hops: lemon and orange with a touch of mellow melon. Light maltiness, minimal grapefruit, and a touch of pine. Initial is a little lighter in body than expected: bittering citrusy orange, grapefruit, and some lemon mixed with some nice carmel malts that form a good backbone. There really is some nice mellow melon on the front end. A touch of pine, but largely a citrusy fruit bomb with some nice bitterness, but some mellow spots. Not the hoppiest, and the alcohol is well hidden, but this is a formidible brew. Cheers!

Bottle from crazynelson. Consumed side by side with hopslam...I agree both are awesome.Golden with some haze. Citrus and pine come out in the nose. Flavor brings citrus hops, sweet melon, and a nice bittersweet finish. Excellent beer. Nicely hidden nine-four ABV. If it was local I’d drink definitely buy and enjoy more often.

Bottle from miketd. Thanks man! Pours a bright yellowish orange color with a lasting offwhite head. Smell is fruity with lots of dull canteloupe and citrus notes, but not as big and bold as I expected. Taste is fairly melon like with some citrus rind like flavor too. Very smooth and drinkable though with a lot of hop flavor and a good amount of bitterness. Some light alcohol presence. Full body and lightly prickly carbonation. Pretty good.

I drank this side by side with a Hopslam and both were great. The pour was an orangish copper pour with a finger thick foamy off white head that lasted a while. Aroma was definite citrus hops with more grapefruit than orange. Not much malt noticeable here. Flavor was great. Intense hop profile with almost no sign of maltiness at all. The flavor reminded me of a slightly less intense version of Pliny the Younger. Very strong intense hop flavor.

On draft at the Brass Rail in Hummelstown, poured cloudy golden color with a good carbonation and one finger head. Awesome hop aroma hits you at first and the flavor is citrus/piney hoppy which melts into bitterness. This was excellent, just a nice blend of hops and malt without an overwhelming bitterness.

Hazy gold with a rich white head. Nose is ultra grapefruit, a little sweet malt, a little sweat. Biting nose, but not very complex. The same is true with the flavor, but even more bitter, almost caustic citrus against grain and slight malt. Palate is a little short and quite bitter, definitely carbonated. Founders seems to have difficulty taking risks yet still does not succeed while staying within the lines.
