Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of sweet citrus and grapefruit hops. Flavor is similarly citrus-y with some grassy hops initially and a orange zest kick in the finish. A very nice double IPA, not heavy or syrupy in the slightest. Well constructed. 8/4/9/4/16 (4.1/5)

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy pale straw gold with a big white head and some small tight bubbles. Nose is full of sweet hops, lots of pine resin too. Flavors are nice florals and some citrus. Not too aggressive in flavor profile. This could be because it is not fresh? Mouth is very smooth mild bitter finish to it. Alcohol seeks up on you some! This was a pretty good drink. Nothing like the hop bombs that I have recenlty had to pleasure of. I would like to try this again supper fresh before I give my final opinion. Definitely above average.

Bottle thanks to 17thfloor, the badass, the crazy man, the coolest guy for bringing the beers that he did to Belgium. Was that enough? Hazy yellow with orange tint, white medium creamy head. Aroma is sweet citrus with grapey, floral, light biscuit malt and subtle alc. Sweeter grapey, citrus, green bitterness , a little alc, wheat, lemon. Medium to light body with light carbonation. A little astringent in the bitterness and alc but I really enjoy a new take on the IIPA style. Good job Founders.

On tap at the Brass Rail- Hazy gold with white simmering head. Hops and citrus/pine bold with a flora on the pallet leaves it dancing. The ABV and different hop layers are a nice blend. Rather dry finish.

Cloudy yellowish color, thin white head that leaves decent head. Citrus hoppy aroma. Orange peel and hop flavor with piney hints. Smooth start with a biting carbonated and bitter finish. Average IPA.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours a deep golden, and appetizing, color - nice medium white head. Aroma is very piney and hoppy, not too much sweetness within the smell. Taste is wonderful hoppy and earty tones. Not as much citrus and sweet notes per usual DIPA. - nice hoppy bite. Very, very good DIPA.

12 oz. Bright golden pour, fairly clear. Little white head. Great hop aroma with a little sweet malt. Taste is incredibly balanced hop and sweet malt profile. Little biscuit, yellow raisin peeks through, then is immediately matched by the piney hops, very little citrus really. Slightly bubbly light medium body. Very interesting clean double IPA. Dangerously drinkable for 9.4%. Nice bottle art as well. Definetely a beer to compare pros and cons to Hopslam with. I tend to like a sweeter, stickier brew, but it is hard to argue with the quality of this.

Bottle: Pale golden pour with a light haziness. Thin beige head and tons of sheet lacing. Aroma is rich and citrus filled. Taste is full of citrus and floral hops and a smooth, malty sweetness. Lingering florals in the tail. An excellent version of the style. Thanks cpferris.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2009 On draft at Teresa’s, served in a snifter. Poured orange with pure white head. Plenty of lace. Pungent floral nose. Flavor starts with a blast of citrus, primarily oranges and then progresses with some more bitter citrus fruit like kumquat and grapefruit. Finished bitter with some mild peppery spice.
